I have written about this subject of going against the Word of God and killing His babies for years. The dumbing down of many Christians continues here in New Mexico and all over America. Many do not realize that abortion is murder and when we go against the Word of God, we are sinning and there are consequences for bad behavior.

I find it very troubling that so many Pastors and laypeople are silent on God’s babies being killed in New Mexico. They must have forgotten that God knows all. What does the Bible say about abortion? Simply put, abortion is murder. It is the killing of a human being created in the image of God. Too many Christians have put themselves above God.

The Consequences of Shedding Innocent Blood
In the Bible, “shedding innocent blood” is one of the most serious sins, carrying both personal and national consequences.
Deuteronomy 19:10–13 warns that innocent blood will not be shed in the land God has given to Israel, lest guilt be upon them. It sets out a process for dealing with murder: if a killer flees to a city, the elders must bring him back to the “avenger of blood” so he can die. The law’s purpose is to remove the guilt of innocent blood from Israel and ensure justice is done
Jeremiah 22:3–5 expands on this warning. God says, “Do not shed innocent blood in this place…for if you will not obey these words, I swear by Myself…this palace will become a ruin.” The immediate consequence is the destruction of the royal palace and city, with invaders prepared by God to carry it out. This reflects the idea that violating the sanctity of life brings divine judgment.
Other prophets and passages reinforce the theme:
- Proverbs 6:16–17 lists “hands that shed innocent blood” as abhorrent to God;
- Isaiah 59:7–8 describes such people as bringing “desolation and destruction” into their paths; and
- Genesis 9:6 affirms that whoever sheds human blood will die, for God made man in His image.
Historical fulfillment is seen in the Babylonian destruction of Jerusalem, which Jeremiah predicted as a direct result of the people’s violence and injustice.
