The Times of Israel is reporting that U.S. President Donald J. Trump is frustrated and has reviewed possible targets for a fresh attack against Iran, but has not yet made a final decision. In contrast to the recent, joint U.S.-Israeli attack against Iran, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has been ‘banished from the cockpit’ and is now forced to rely on regional sources and intelligence information.

According to White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, President Trump discussed the Iran situation yesterday morning (5/22/2026) with top U.S. decision makers, including Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, CIA Chief John Ratcliffe and Wiles.

The Times of Israel article may be read in its entirety HERE.

My brothers and sisters, President Trump is a hard person to ‘read’. Yet, it would be, in this writer’s view, an error to assume that just because the New York Times published an article about Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu being ‘banished’ from decision making and war planning with the U.S., and the possible (if not likely) continuation of hostilities against Iran, that Israel has been ‘left out to dry’…

Politics, by its very nature, can be one lie or partial lie after another, to manipulate others. It is an established fact that military and intelligence units pursue ‘tactical deception’ in war and intelligence matters.

Let’s pray, that by a miracle of God, Iran’s leadership would flee or change its mind about wanting to destroy Israel, God’s chosen people (the Jews), and the ‘Great Satan’ (the United States). What seems to be lost in the Iran conflict, as in Ukraine, is the suffering and deaths of the countries’ citizens! Why is it so hard for politicians to acknowledge the suffering caused by dictatorial leaders AND the necessary actions undertaken by ‘friendly’ countries to free such citizens from immoral, oppressive, destructive, murderous and terroristic regimes?

Let’s not forget that the only way to true freedom is through Jesus Christ!

John 8:34-36 (NKJV)
Freedom in Christ
“Jesus answered [the believing Jews], ‘[m]ost assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son [Jesus] makes you free, you shall be free indeed.’”

John 14:6 (NKJV)
“Jesus said to [Thomas], ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’”

Let’s pray for peace and healing throughout the globe, and especially for those forced to reside in Iran and Ukraine.

Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV)
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Praise Jesus forevermore!
