Fox News reports that North Korea’s Supreme People’s Assembly has updated its constitution to require a retaliatory nuclear strike if leader Kim Jong Un is assassinated, according to a report in The Telegraph. The change comes amid heightened global tensions following the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and other officials by the United States.

Kim Jong Un has accused the United States of “state terrorism and aggression,” signaling that North Korea could take a more active role in opposition to Washington.

My brothers and sisters, never has the difference between good and evil seemed so clear. While the governing approach taken by U.S. leaders can be argued, the goal has always been to benefit the lives of the American citizens. In contrast, the dictator Kim Jong Un (as with most dictatorial/communist leaders around the globe), the goal is self-serving and to protect their own power, with no concern for the lives of the people they govern and certainly no concern for the Christian faith.

Scripture points out this differentiation unambiguously:

John 10:10 (NKJV)
“The thief [the devil or Satan] does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I [Jesus] have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

Praise Jesus forevermore!
