A simple message from me, I am but a simple man of God, not a fancy, dancy preacher. Sharon and I took a short retreat into the woods outside of Durango, Colorado for a few days with our pup Maisie. We spent much time reflecting on the state of affairs of the Church, and we prayed about how to approach the very thickness of evil in our country and the world. If I were to preach on this day, this would be my message. God gave it to me.
I look at social media and see what people are posting and I see a messed up country. Too much politics, too much bragging as the nation goes to hell. So many egos. Did you know that ego stands for edging out God? So much hate all over the place; it’s the dumbing down of America for all to see. I have been preaching on this for at least 17 years. Way too much politics, not enough of Jesus. Many Americans live their lives by devouring a political handbook, rather than God’s Word. The GOP and DEMS have failed God. They are such cowards, failing to stand in the gap for God’s babies. Tragically, You can put many Pastors in that cowardly category also. It is a time of great sadness for me and Sharon to see. BUT! Our hope and faith is in God Almighty, not man.
I do not know if the majority of people in New Mexico and all over the world believe God controls the weather.
God controls the events of the natural world, including the weather (Psalm 65:9-11; Psalm 135:6-7; Psalm 147:15-18; Jeremiah 5:22; Nahum 1:3; Acts 14:17). God governs the events of nature.
Sharon and I thank the LORD for the rain in the Albuquerque area yesterday! For years now we have been praying for good rains and that New Mexico would repent of it sins and end abortion. After the dust storm we got such a good rain! At about 11:00 PM last night the sky really opened up! It poured! Let us all continue to pray and repent of our sins and change the behavior of so many New Mexicans that support the killing of God’s babies through abortions and that the Pastors who are silent on these killings will finally wake up and state the Biblical truth about these murders. It is just plain awful so many Pastors will not speak up for God. What does the Bible say about abortion? Simply put, abortion is murder. It is the killing of a human being created in the image of God.
I must state that New Mexico is a failed state in so many ways, and tragically, much of America has failed God. I have never seen America so dark.
It’s beyond time to repent of our sins.
To “repent” means to feel sincere regret or remorse for something you have done and to make a conscious commitment to change your behavior and do what is right. It is a complete mental and behavioral shift—often described as doing a “180-degree turn” away from a negative action.
