What Would Jesus Do?
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Last evening I watched television. That’s a bit unusual for me as I love to read and love to write. That really cuts down on television time. I watched a program that was called What Would Jesus Do? I remember years ago wearing a bracelet that had that imprinted on it, WWJD. Every day the people challenged themselves to respond as if they were Jesus. No one thought they were, but they wanted to respond with actions that were most like his. Both young and old no matter what was happening in their town, they would try to respond as Jesus would. Their crime rate dropped, their church filled up and things changed in their town.
It’s a new day, the beginning of a new week. Easter just passed and today I want to try to respond like Jesus would. How about you?
Let’s Pray:
Father, we thank you for empowering us to be more like you. Help us to respond with actions and deeds that represent you. We want to represent you well.
Father, fill our speech with much grace, love and kindness. May our actions put you first. Remove every obstacle and hindrance we pray. WWJD, that’s who we are and want to be.
Father, may you shine your light on our path today. We choose to forgive where there has been injustice. Let your light shine through us today and help us respond as if you were here. We want to serve you well. Amen.
