COPPELL, Texas – For one week each December, the fellowship hall at Valley Ranch Baptist Church in Coppell, Texas, turns into a Christmas shopping destination through its annual “Christmas Store.”
Desiring to be the hands and feet of Jesus and provide tangible resources for families during the holidays, the church hosts the Christmas Store, which allows parents and guardians of children in need the opportunity to “shop” for Christmas gifts for free.
Valley Ranch Associate pastor Arthur Mendes said his hope is that everyone who participates in this ministry sees the Gospel in action.
“This is so encouraging to our church,” Mendes said. “It’s definitely our biggest ministry and the church always responds so well to it, not only giving financially, but also serving during the Christmas Store season. It’s impressive to see commitment of our church towards this ministry, but also a blessing to have so many people who are willing to serve.” More Here
