New Polling Shows Where Americans Believe the Country Is Heading — What About Free Speech and Threatening TV Networks?

In 2012 in Ashville, NC at a Time to Revival, where he was serving, it was prophesied over Pastor Dewey Moede that he was to be a watchman on the wall. That he is. Pastor Dewey is vigilant and alert to threats. He is to warn others and to be a prayer warrior, to hold a Biblical Worldview.

Sharon and I met Amy in Laramie, Wyoming on a Great Commission trip. Amy’s family is growing. Glory to God! We love this family. We love sharing JESUS and carrying out The Great Commission. Here is what Amy wrote on Facebook: Today my little family received this bible in the mail. And I am so excited to get diving into it. Bubba and I have decided that we are going to read a chapter a night. Thank you Dewey and Sharon! We love you both!

I write this for my very deep concern for the future of my country and Christianity. I am very, very saddened about the path of our nation. Barna Research shows that only 4% of Americans have a Biblical Worldview and that only 37% of Pastors have a Biblical Worldview! There is no Church unity in America.

Yes, I know what many are saying, a poll means nothing anymore, or they say it’s only The Associated Press, or it’s anti-Trump, or it’s something else. America is in the toughest shape it’s been in since the 1960s. We are so very divided that we act like a third-world country.

I am very concerned about FREE SPEECH! Having television personalities and others ‘called out’ because of their jokes or commentary? Come on! Get thicker skin! Agree to disagree! One of our founding principles is FREE SPEECH! I come from the old school of ‘agree to disagree.’ Threating the license of TV networks because they do not agree with the President? WOW! That’s very dangerous.

Now, if a person is threating the life of another or the person’s family, then law enforcement needs to take action. If I had a volunteer here at FGGAM post or say ugly things about someone, I would not have them part of our ministry.

One of my all-time favorites is what U.S. President Harry Truman once said: “If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.” President Trump has got to have thicker skin. Trashing your opponents and threating them is not the example I want my kids and grandchildren to witness. You should not trash people with whom you disagree. I look at social media and shake my head at the hate spewed by Christians. This is not Christian. We all have to build bridges of love and trust with folks who do not know JESUS. No trashing please!

President Truman also had a sign on his desk that said “the buck stops here” — meaning he had ultimate and final responsibility for the decisions and actions of his administration. It was his way of saying that he would not “pass the buck.” These are also good words for the Church! Take responsibility for the failures of our country, the decline of Christianity in America, and carry out The Great Commission. Bring Church unity to America, rather than competing with other Churches on social media for members.

Americans need to fall in love with JESUS once again and not politics, which is the playground of Satan. My outlook for America is dimming. It appears to me that more Americans love their politics rather than JESUS, and many have kicked the Ten Commandments to the curb! When is the last time you looked at the Ten Commandments? They are not a suggestion, just as carrying out The Great Commission is not a suggestion.

Christians in America need to look at themselves in the mirror.
