Prayers for a Country in Need of Revival This Fourth of July

Crosswalk: Founding Father and second U.S. President John Adams wrote: “Posterity! You will never know how much it cost the present generation to preserve your freedom! I hope you will make good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in heaven, that I ever took half the pains to preserve it.”

This July Fourth, as we get together with family and friends to celebrate America’s birthday, it’s a good time to think about our past, but also about where we are now and where we’re headed. The United States, a nation built on ideas of freedom and fairness, is at a crossroads. We see people divided, worrying about our nation’s future, and wanting to see spiritual revival happen.

We want people to wake up spiritually, getting closer to God in ways that touch every part of our lives and our country. We need to line back up with the biblical values that keep us strong, and we need to protect the democracy that cost us so much to create. Founding Father and second U.S. President John Adams wrote: “Posterity! You will never know how much it cost the present generation to preserve your freedom! I hope you will make good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in heaven, that I ever took half the pains to preserve it.” More Here
