The Associated Press (“AP News”) reports that Israel deported climate activist Greta Thunberg to her home country of Sweden yesterday (6/9/2025), one day after the Gaza-bound ship ‘Madleen’ she was on was seized by the Israeli military.

Thunberg was one of 12 passengers on the Madleen, a ship carrying a small amount of aid to the Gaza Strip in protest of Israel’s actions against Hamas and to shed light on the humanitarian crisis, according to the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, the group behind the journey.
In response, Adalah, an Israeli legal rights group representing the persons sailing on the Madleen, claimed Israel had “no legal authority” to take over the ship because it was in international waters and it was headed not to Israel but to the “territorial waters of the state of Palestine.”
The Associated Press article may be read in full HERE.
My brothers and sisters, beyond the obvious publicity-seeking nature of this voyage and the virtue signaling involved in the face of a known and longstanding naval blockade by Israel, the fact that AP News reports the assertion by Adalah that the ship was enroute to the “territorial waters of the state of Palestine” is absurd on its face – made worse by not pointing out to its readers that there is no State of Palestine! The Gaza Strip is in Israel.
I’ve said it before and I’ll shout it out until the Lord calls me home – “The Casualty of Our Current Times Is the Truth!” [I wrote about this in 2022 HERE.]
As consumers of news, articles, blogs, books, movies, television and mainstream media programs or websites, we must always be very cautious about taking what we read without critical (spiritual) assessment. This is why living our lives from the perspective of a Biblical Worldview is critical and in this writer’s view, essential! Sadly, we are baited again and again with a false premise followed by facts that would be interesting and maybe even true, if it were not for the fact that the premise itself is false!
The evil one, similarly, will plant scripture in our minds, but it will be out of context or contain slight errors, with a word missing or replaced, so that it changes the meaning of the scripture in a way that is to the detriment of the believer! We must be guided by the Holy Spirit within us to discern what is, or is not, the truth and of the Lord!
The Bible is clear that the Truth is a Person and His name is Jesus:
John 14:6 (NKJV)
“Jesus said to [Thomas], ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’”
John 15:26 (NKJV)
The Holy Spirit Proceeds from the Father and Testifies of Jesus
“But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me [Jesus].”
John 16:13 (NKJV)
“However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.”
As Jesus instructs his disciples, we are to be meek but wise:
Matthew 10:16 (NKJV)
“Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.”
The Bible reminds us that the wisdom of the world is foolishness to God:
1 Corinthians 3:18-19 (NKJV)
“Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, ‘He catches the wise in their own craftiness…’”.
