Is Your Debt Paid?
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. I was praying for a family this morning at the request of a 90-year-old woman. This woman has been so devoted to Jesus, her faith, her church, and her community for as far back as I can remember. At the age of 90, she was preparing to attend her place of worship this morning. I was blessed to add my prayer and faith with hers knowing the power of praying in agreement. It was with great excitement we prayed together thanking God for drawing her family. Resurrection Sunday now has passed but the power of the cross lives on. It was with great expectation that we lifted the ones that she loved the most here on earth to our Good Father.
I am thankful for God’s mercy on my life. It is only because of the price he paid that I too could experience life and have it more abundantly. (John 10:10) You never know what someone else has been through, what they have overcome to be where they are today. I like to believe people are doing the best they can for where they are, me included. I try to extend mercy, because I needed it and receive it every day. How about you this morning? Do you have a debt that needs marked paid? We all do.
You can’t buy his love; you can’t earn it and even on your most perfect day you don’t deserve it. That’s right beautiful people, none of us deserve it. So, when we look at others, we must see the value they are to the man that created them. We were all created in the image of God. (Genesis 1:27)
You can’t buy his grace and mercy, even if you gave everything you own. Don’t let anyone convince you that this gift of grace and mercy can be bought. The price would be too high for the blood that was shed. The price has already been paid for your sins and mine. Open your hearts and minds today and receive all that God has for you on your journey called life.
Let’s Pray:
Father, thank you for your mercy and grace. Thank you for the price you paid that we could receive salvation and live our lives in the freedom of Christ Jesus. At the foot of the cross, we are all equal.
Father, thank you that you change us from glory to glory. As you change us more into your likeness, help us not to forget that this free gift cost us nothing, but you everything. You are the God of all our days from beginning to end. You are the Alpha and the Omega says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty. (Revelation 1:8)
Father may your spirit draw others that don’t know you all across this globe today. May the hope they are looking for be found in you and you alone. Amen.
