And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

Mark 4:39

We all face storms of various kinds. Some of our trials and storms will develop godly character, and that enables us to “rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us.

It is important to remember that our strength comes from God alone. Jesus said, ‘Without me you can do nothing’

John 15:5

And when you feel like you have absolutely nothing left, remember what you do have. Your Father’s love.  And His love will fill every single broken piece, every ounce of loneliness, or fear, or longing to feel loved.

I have chosen to believe there are good and wonderful things ahead. We have to trust  that there is a plan for every thing that happens. And God will turn everything around even when it doesn’t look like it.

During the storms in our life we need to have the confidence that God is with us. He will see us through the storm. Our relationship with God becomes stronger and His presence is felt every second of the trial.

It’s also important to remember that as we are in the midst of the storm, do not panic and do not look back. Keep going forward away from the storm.

For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison.

2 Corinthians 4:17

Trust and wait!

My prayer for you today is that you’d weather the storm with Christ.

Many blessings,

Connie
