FIRE DANGER! New Mexico is dryer than a bone! PRAY FOR RAIN AND NO WIND! Here in Taylor Ranch it is so very, very dry. This weather system is so crazy! While it is warm I am deep root watering our trees and shrubs! They have to get some moisture!
KRQE News 13 (Albuquerque, NM) reports: Yet another warm, spring-like day across New Mexico, despite temperatures being a couple degrees cooler than Wednesday. Winds are also light Thursday afternoon across the state. A few clouds will move in overnight and stick around Friday, but temperatures are going to be even warmer and the winds are going to be stronger. A few record high temperatures are likely again Friday afternoon. Westerly winds could gust up to 40 mph in the eastern half of the state where a Red Flag Warning will go into effect. There will be an elevated fire danger across much of New Mexico with the warm, dry, and windy weather, but the highest threat will be in eastern parts of the state. More Here
