Making time to refresh yourself and be still is so important to your mental health.
Psalm 46:5 Say’s, “God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.”
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
“Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world”
Psalm 46:10
Be still; to cease striving, to let drop, relax, to let go, to be quiet.
And taking time for yourself means setting healthy boundaries, because that is good for your soul.
When I have my alone time (fasting and prayer) with the Lord, I grab my Bible and my coffee, remove all distractions and I just rest in him.
I continue to rest in the Lord for a time, but then there is a time to get going with what I’ve learned and heard.
“For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church,”
Ephesians 5:29
And he said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
Exodus 33:14
Trust that God does love us and knows what is best for us.
Don’t forget to make time for yourself and nourish your soul!
Many blessings,
Connie
