BREAKING NEWS

Fox News (and other mainstream news agencies) is reporting that the United States has initiated Middle East airstrikes, initially in Syria and Iraq.

The U.S. response is apparently part of the promised multitiered campaign against ongoing Iran-sponsored terrorism, including Houthi missile attacks against shipping in the Red Sea and attacks against U.S. assets in Jordan, Iraq and elsewhere – including the January 28, 2024 drone strike against the U.S. Tower 22 outpost in Jordan that killed three U.S. military members.

The U.S. has blamed the Islamic Resistance in Iraq umbrella group for the attack on the Tower 22 outpost, which killed Sergeant William Jerome Rivers (46), Specialist Kennedy Ladon Sanders (24) and Specialist Breonna Alexsondria Moffett (23), and wounded approximately 40 other U.S. military members.
