The Christian Post – When It’s Not Safe To Die!

Robin Schumacher, writing for The Christian Post, penned an article today about the fear of death and what, if anything, happens after we die.

Interestingly, a recent “2022 Chapman University Survey of American Fears” ranked the fear of dying at No. 61!

Several years ago, Howard Stern asked Arnold Schwarzenegger what happens when we die.  Schwarzenegger replied by saying:  “Nothing.  You’re six feet under.  Anyone [who] tells you something else is a (expletive) liar.”  And, in a more recent exchange, Schwarzenegger was quoted as saying:  “When people talk about, ‘I will see them again in [h]eaven,’ it sounds so good, but the reality is that we won’t see each other again after we’re gone.  That’s the sad part.  I know people feel comfortable with death, but I don’t.”

The Christian Post‘s article may be read HERE.

My brothers and sisters, what an evil deception it is to believe that when we pass from this mortal body into eternity that nothing happens.  Our Lord and Savior went to the cross to suffer the punishment we deserved, died, spilled His sin-cleansing blood, and paid the penalty for our sin in full and once-and-for-all, making it possible for us to spend eternity in the very presence and glory of Almighty God – not perdition.

Our flesh may pass away here on earth, but our existence continues!

It may bring some sort of strange comfort to those who are lost and without Christ to believe it’s eternally irrelevant what one does or doesn’t do here on earth, but the truth of the matter is that what happens when we die is only the beginning of eternity for us!  Lord have mercy.

John 3:16-17 (NKJV)
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”

John 14:1-3 (NKJV)
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.  In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”

1 John 2:1-2 (NKJV)
“My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin.  And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.  And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.”

1 John 4:9-10 (NKJV)
“In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.  In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”

Praise Jesus forevermore!
