Jesus was about to fulfill one of His promises.

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.”

John 14:1‭-‬4 NKJV

As they gathered together for the last time with Jesus I wondered if they remembered that He said this.

They had witnessed Jesus go through so much in such a short time. They have sat with Jesus after the Resurrection in His Glorious Resurrected Body.

The peace, the love they felt I’m sure is unimaginable.

But now it’s time for Him to go and prepare the place He has promised all.

And He tells them

“Let not your heart be troubled.”

We as humans all have scars. Emotional scars. Physical scars. Spiritual scars. There are many, many people that allow themselves to be labeled by these hurts and pains.

His disciples were in His presence. None of those hurts and pains mattered.

Why?

When your mercy, your love and your fullness is sitting in front of you the pain of the scars just melt!

The believing followers of Jesus Christ will not allow these scars define who they are. They might be a constant reminder of the evil and crookedness of this world, but God gives a promise to all that will take His Word to heart.

” I go to prepare a place for you”!

To every one that believes to their core that what is said is true will have a different mentality. A believer will have the Hope of Heaven. Why? Because God said so Himself in His Holy Word.

Not all will be healed or made right here and now. But Jesus will give you the grace of everything He promised to get you through. He wants us to endure and push through to the end of our last breath!

He wants us to have the Hope of heaven!

But even more than that. The hope that one day we will be reunited with Him!

Do you have the Hope of Heaven today?

“that where I am, there you may be also.”

God says that He makes all things new. That even a new Jerusalem will come down from heaven. His perfect justice and Righteousness will come down. A new heaven and a new earth. Not a remodeled fixed up one but a new one. This new one will be perfect ready for a prepared Holy people.

But Jesus had to go to prepare it for us.

It must be Majestic and the most beautiful place that He has ever created because He has taken so long to build and perfect a place for you!

I can see the faces of His Disciples when they heard that He had to go. I can imagine how crushing it was to their hearts. The instant emptiness, like being robbed.

Jesus knows!

He tells us something! He makes a promise to every single person that put their trust and faith in Him

“If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.

John 14:15‭-‬18 NKJV

“I will not leave you orphans”!

He gives us another Helper to endure!

Before Jesus ascends Into Heaven He reassures them all,us all.

Not just a physical presence but an internal One! One that lives inside us. The One to bring us comfort. To give us understanding and truth.

The HOLY SPIRIT!

and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Matthew 28:20 NKJV

The very presence of God in each person that believes!

Know today that we are not orphans.

We can sit in His presence and have all the pain and Sorrow melt away, because not only does He live but He lives inside every heart that confesses and yearns for Him.

Then never lose your Hope for Heaven!
