Have you ever heard of the show where people have so much stuff that they can barely move around in their homes? Well, this show is about something that’s called hoarding. I myself can safely say I have a touch of hoarding. Which is something I need to work on for sure. My new motto is when is enough, enough? Or when is enough too much?
Now let’s look at a different type of hoarding. How much have you learned over the years about the Kingdom of God? About our God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The three in one, yet separate? About salvation? About living a Christ like life? How many years have you spent sitting in churches, Bible studies, Mens, and Women’s meetings? All these years of storing all these lessons, sermons, teachings and more. And I have to ask, what are you doing with it? Are you hoarding all that knowledge? Have you allowed the Holy Spirit to guide you so you can use what you’ve learned to reach the lost, suffering, and lonely? Are you letting that overflow of God’s love spill on everyone you come in contact with. Well, I truly hope you will do a self-evaluation and see how you can stop hoarding all you’ve learned. That way others can be blessed with the overflow that will come from you.
A Brother in Christ Frank Santo Sr. shared some important Bible verses after I mentioned Spiritual Hoarding which went perfectly with my message:
Psalm 9:1 & 2 (New Living Translation) I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done. 2 I will be filled with joy because of you. I will sing praises to your name, O Most High.
Also, Psalm 9:11 (New Living Translation) Sing praises to the Lord who reigns in Jerusalem. Tell the world about his unforgettable deeds.
So lastly, I want to encourage you to let what you’ve learned overflow out of you with the Holy Spirit’s leading. Tell the world about His marvelous things He has done! You will be blessed knowing you are releasing your knowledge to others. And they will be blessed as they learn more about Christ and the Kingdom of God. So, stop hoarding and start sharing, the world needs what you have inside you!
