Thanksgiving, Thankful Living

Regardless of His-Story, thanksgiving is a holiday for us all to remember what the word Thankful truly means. Thankful out of the Oxford dictionary can mean expressing gratitude and relief. “an earnest and thankful prayer.”

We all can think of ways in which we should be thankful, even when the walls might be closing in on us. Keep in mind I am not discrediting what you might be going through but I do want you to take the time to consider some things that you can be thankful for. Sometimes we have to focus on the basic things like the fact that our hearts are beating on their own without our help. Or the fact that you are blinking without even thinking to keep your eyes from drying out. Or if you are reading this you have another day of life. Focus on the positive and move forward to the best of your ability.

Enjoy time with Friends and Family, remember those who have passed away, and focus on living life. Now if you still can’t think of anything to be thankful for then here is a life-changing reason.

John 3:16 -17

16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him.

I want you to be thankful that we all have a chance to live an eternal life with Him. Be thankful that the Creator of this entire Universe cares about you so much that He made a way for you to have a new life.

So, for those of you who have not asked Jesus Christ into your life, I want to encourage you to truly consider it. Your life will never be the same, both in this lifetime and the next.

Psalm 107:1 New Living Translation

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.

Have a blessed Thanksgiving, Peace, and Love To You ALL.

  1. Stephen (Minister of God), you are clearly a called evangelist. Bless you! I really like that you included John 3:17 in the scripture verses. To me, this helps makes it clear that our belief in Jesus causes us to be born again or saved – the fruit of which (among other benefits here on earth) is eternal life. Amen!

    • Hi Chuck sorry for the late reply just saw this. First of all thanks for commenting and for the encouragement! Yes Sir I love including verse 17 because it also helps remind us on how we should Love the lost and come to them in Love. God bless you and yours!
