What is Spiritual Warfare? From Got Questions: There are two primary errors when it comes to spiritual warfare—over-emphasis and under-emphasis. Some blame every sin, every conflict, and every problem on demons that need to be cast out. Others completely ignore the spiritual realm and the fact that the Bible tells us our battle is against spiritual powers. The key to successful spiritual warfare is finding the biblical balance. Jesus sometimes cast demons out of people; other times He healed people with no mention of the demonic. The apostle Paul instructs Christians to wage war against the sin in themselves (Romans 6) and warns us to oppose the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:10–18). More Here

I have read through this more than a few times today. I kept thinking this is what people need to read as they get ready to vote. I know some of you have voted early, but this just came today from Kathy Branzell at National Day of Prayer. I was always taught to look at a persons fruit. Are they producing goodness in the world, or rotten apples, can I see JESUS in them? Look at our world, WHAT A STINKING MESS! This is the results of having ungodly leaders and ungodly people who vote them in. We are in a tough spot, only 37% of Pastors in America have a Biblical Worldview, and just 6% of America has a Biblcial Worldview.

Seek the Lord, fast, pray and God will show you who to vote for.

Awesome message from Kathy Branzell as usual! Thank you Kathy and all the folks at National Day of Prayer for all you do for JESUS!

Friend —

Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them…” Matthew 7:15-16a

Greetings!

As Fall festivals, trunk or treat events, and Halloween approaches we see people dressed up in costumes pretending to be superheroes, animals, movie, television, and other famous people and characters. There may be many that you easily recognize and a few that you might have to ask, “Who are you?” It can be cute to see young children play dress up and pretend to be someone or something they are not, but it is a completely different experience when we encounter adults in the workplace, relationships, or even ministry who are not really who they appear to be on the surface.

Jesus warned His followers of wolves in sheep’s clothing giving the discerning sign of their “fruit,” their actions, attitudes, and motivations that spring up in their character, conduct and conversations. Paul further equips us in Ephesians 4:1-3 by describing the worthy manner of one called by Christ.

Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”

Romans 13:14 also helps us spot someone dressed to serve, “Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.”

Scripture reveals Satan’s playbook acting “like” God but out to steal, kill and destroy. Remember that the enemy who “prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” (1Peter 5:8) is far inferior to the Lion of Judah who has given us victory and delivered us from the enemy. Be alert! Listen carefully to the words that people use as they describe themselves, their organization, opportunity, or even ministry. Are they speaking peace, strengthening unity, and walking in humility, or do you get whiffs of language that sounds more divisive or destructive? Carefully consider what they want to accomplish and how they want to accomplish it. Are they prayerful or prideful? Are they asking you to leave something or someone you know God led you to?

Be cautious and spend much time in prayer asking the Lord to reveal their hearts, and if He is calling you to yoke yourself with them in business, relationship, or ministry. Wait on the Lord and listen, do not be hurried or manipulated no matter how good the opportunity might look like on the surface; listen in the spirit. 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 warns us, for “Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.”

Satan specializes in counterfeits; looking and saying something “like” truth or a treat but discerning eyes and ears will pick up the trick. Like those who work to recognize counterfeit money; they spend a majority of their time handling real bills, becoming so familiar with the real thing that when a fake passes through their hands they recognize it immediately, or at least stop to take a closer look if anything feels or looks “off.” Know the character of someone clothed with Christ; what Christ said and the warning He gave before you get caught up with a counterfeit in a cleaver costume. Don’t get tricked by anything that at first glance might seem like a treat.

Lord, I seek Your will and only Your will for my life. I praise You and know Your attributes and authority. The enemy is not Your equal in any way but seeks to steal, kill, and destroy all that are Yours. Help me to clearly know the character and conduct of those who are clothed in You. Guard my heart and give me eyes to see and ears to catch the tricks of the enemy. Holy Spirit equip me to discern the schemes of Satan and to pray for those being used and held captive by him, but not to get entangled in their tricks. In Your victorious, trustworthy, unifying, Name we pray, Amen!

Serving Him with gladness,

About the National Day of Prayer

The National Day of Prayer tradition predates the founding of the United States of America, evidenced by the Continental Congress’ proclamation in 1775 setting aside a day of prayer. In 1952, Congress established an annual day of prayer and, in 1988, that law was amended, designating the National Day of Prayer as the first Thursday in May.

AXIOS Reports:

As Election Day draws near, mayors and police chiefs across the country are getting a new warning: Extremists have jettisoned their nationwide election intimidation strategy in favor of local efforts focused on neighborhood ballot boxes.

Why it matters: Groups such as the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers are looking to sway the upcoming midterms in favor of their preferred candidates by signing up as poll workers and drop-box watchers.

Driving the news: The U.S. Conference of Mayors held an event this week warning of decentralized election interference efforts targeting local voters, candidates and election workers. More Here

Our democracy is in grace danger.

TEAM JESUS! Please pray for a pure, godly election. Please pray that all people behave themselves.

A recent Axios Poll found that nearly four out of 10 Republicans and one in four Democrats say they’ll blame election fraud if their party doesn’t win control of Congress.

From CBN NEWS:

From the equipment in your local polling place, to high-level threat assessments from America’s top cyber-command, a coordinated effort is underway to protect the 2022 elections.

Chris Krebs, former head of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), recently tweeted his four main election concerns. They include: continued efforts to de-legitimize the 2020 election, threats against poll workers, radicalized poll workers as insider threats, and foreign actors exploiting domestic narratives. Story Here

I pray that you vote wherever you live in America. It is our duty. ‘GOT QUESTIONS’ PUTS IT THIS WAY: It is our contention that it is the duty and responsibility of every Christian to vote and to vote for leaders who promote Christian principles. God is most certainly in control, but that does not mean we should do nothing to further His will. We are commanded to pray for our leaders (1 Timothy 2:1-4). In terms of politics and leadership, there is evidence in Scripture that God has been displeased with our choices of leadership at times (Hosea 8:4). The evidence of sin’s grip on this world is everywhere.

Is America “irredeemably woke”? “80 percent of Democrats and Republicans believe the political opposition opposes a threat that, if not stopped, will destroy America as we know it.”

Thank you FAITHWIRE and Billy Hallowell for this message!!!

Singer Danny Gokey took to Instagram this week to warn Christians about the dangers of drifting away from biblical truth and embracing culture’s counterfeit lies.

“I believe the most dangerous thing that can happen to a believer is very subtle, and sometimes you don’t even catch it,” Gokey said. “What am I talking about? ‘The drift.’”

The singer then proceeded to give an analogy to better illustrate this move away from eternal truth.
