The Bible records one of the most courageous battles between good and evil in 1 Samuel 17. A Battle between the enemy and God’s chosen people. A battle between a shepherd boy and a 9-foot giant who put fear in the people of God. That fear was deep within them because the enemy knew just what to do to cause them to be afraid instead of victorious. But God had a plan, a young shepherd boy who knew what it was like to fight the lion, the bear, and anything else that tried to attack his sheep.
His name was David, and he was a mighty vessel for the Lord. So why did I title this post: David and Goliath 2022? Because we too as followers of Jesus Christ are dealing with a giant and it’s the spirit of diversion, and division. As followers, we must stay focused on our callings and the Kingdom of God. The enemy is trying to cause confusion and division among believers, and we must stay focused. Focused on the Kingdom work that we are called to do. Learning what our gifts are from the Holy Spirit and using them to reach the lost and the hurting in this fallen world.
The days on this earth seem to be getting shorter as the enemy uses non-believers to attack the Word of God. Whether it’s the battle over the life of the unborn child, traditional marriage between a man and a woman, or even having the freedom to worship and say the name of Jesus Christ. As followers of Jesus Christ, we need to have faith and boldness as David did. Not in a violent way but in a confident way that we know who we are as Believers and that we will confidently stand on the word of God. Relying more on the Holy Spirit and staying the course, walking in victory, and declaring what the Bible says over every situation. That’s what we have to do, we have to stand as David did and say Not today or any day Satan.
So today I say to you Brothers and Sisters, as the world seems to target the Bible, don’t be afraid, let the Holy Spirit lead and guide you. Don’t be afraid to stand up for the Bible and remember, the world doesn’t hate you, it’s after the Word of God. So, stand and Unite and be who God called you all to be and I will do the same. Blessings and Love to you ALL. And lastly, remember All Lives Matter, the word says so. God Loved the World so much that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes, in him will not perish but have everlasting life. That’s the Bottom Line, let us never forget who We Are In Christ in 2022 and beyond. A-Men
