A great description of these times we live in from Jackie Low of Team Jesus in the great state of Nebraska: Times are strange, complex and challenging even tho we’ve been warned they were coming it can feel all consuming and suffocating… Christianity is taking a big hit, the enemy is running rampant and I’m not sure what it will look like after the “shake down” is over but stay strong, stay brave, stay courageous and keep a sense of humor because we all need to be able to have a good laugh now and again right? 🙃 Gods peace and love be with you and sustain us all❣

FGGAM is a non-denominational, nonpartisan, Independent ministry all sold out for God! PTL!

The sexual abuse scandal has stained the bride of Christ!  Too much of the SBC fell into the pit of evil politics. Too many Pastors supported evil politicians. In my travels, I have heard this time and time again that the SBC has fallen apart. This is what happens when you leave the path of God. The SBC has shown the unbelieving world what it loves to see. The unbelieving world is seeing the Methodist Church blow up all over the place. I have best friends who are Pastors in the SBC and Methodist Church, some are pondering quitting. Some of the congregations are thinking of going Independent. It is a ungodly situation. My heart aches. The damage done is horrible. Follow God, not man! NOT POLITICS! Have a Biblical Worldview! We are in bad shape here in America when just 37% of Pastors have a Biblical Worldview! JUST 6% of Americans have a Biblical Worldview!  This is one of the main reasons why America is failing. This is one of the reasons over 240 South Korean missionaries came here in June to pray for us and that another “Great Awakening’ will occur!

How does a denomination or a Pastor, or a non-denominational Church expect to attract people when sin is present?

This makes it so hard for a Baptist Church to attract people, there are so many awesome Baptist Churches and Pastors, who are my mentors that are hurt by this sex sandal.

Gloria Walker Jones of Team Jesus in West Virginia: Why would any lost person seek out a church with such sin in it? The world, and sexual scandals in the church? I see no difference. There is no shame anymore.

When I am out doing my Great Commission work, I hear it all the time, “I need a new Church, my Church is not preaching the Word, too much politics.”

By the way…I have posted for years now, I am like a broken record! LOL! But I will preach it, write it until Pastors and folks get it! One of the main reasons much the Church in America is having a hard time with membership, is the failure to carry out The Great Commission.

“A church that is waiting for sinners to visit their building is like the police waiting for criminals to visit their station”.

On Thursday (July 21), Alaska pastor Nathaniel Jolly tweeted an open letter titled “Leaving the SBC,” tagging the Southern Baptist Convention’s Executive Committee, SBC president Bart Barber, and the North American Mission Board (the denomination’s domestic missions agency).

In that letter, Jolly announced that Homer Reformed Baptist Church, of which he is pastor, would be dissociating from the SBC, citing that the SBC “has simply gone in a direction with which our church is unwilling to be associated, now or in the foreseeable future.”

‘The Ship Is Sinking’: Alaska Pastor Pens Open Letter to SBC, Announces His Church’s Disaffiliation

When Southern Baptists voted for abuse reform at their annual meeting in June, it represented a watershed moment after years of some of the denomination’s top leaders stonewalling and ignoring victims’ pleas for help. CBN News give you an inside look at how it transpired and what comes next for survivors. Here’s what you need to know.

From Emily McFarlan Miller in CHURCHLEADERS:

(RNS) — More than 100 churches are suing the Florida Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church to immediately disaffiliate from the denomination.

The lawsuit comes amid a slow-moving schism in the United Methodist Church largely over the ordination and marriage of its LGBTQ members.

And, according to the head of a new, theologically conservative Methodist denomination that recently split from the United Methodist Church, it likely won’t be the last.
