If the devil can keep us from one thing, it’s going to be the Bible

Connie Keyohara

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Romans 10:17

Reading the Bible each day shouldn’t be a struggle!

The Bible is not just something we read to mark it off of our to-do List. The Bible is God’s Word. It is alive and active. The Bible is inerrant and it is completely sufficient for all aspects of life in godliness.

Any thing we learn or we’re taught or we hear, should be judged by, viewed through and found in scripture. Period!

The reason we read the Bible is not to know the Bible or just to say “I read it”, but to know God and learn his character.

“I have thought much about your words and stored them in my heart so that they would hold me back from sin.”

Psalm 119:11

“Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.”

Matthew 24:35

The more we know about Christ the more our faith grows. The more our faith grows the more we can withstand difficult times and grow in knowledge.

If the devil can keep you from one thing, its going to be the bible.

Everyone knows about God, which is why you are without excuse if you reject Him, but only a hand few will know him personally.

The Bible is that foundation of truth that teaches us how to know him personally and how to live a life of godliness. Its a moral compass of sorts.

The message of eternal salvation is a very important theme in Scripture, but the Bible reveals much more than this, including how God intends for us to live.

Through our examples of biblical figures we can learn what pleases God and what does not.

His Word also gives direct instruction to believers on how we should act in every circumstance and lifestyle.

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

By reading the Bible consistently, you can find direction for your life and learn how to best serve the Lord who gave His life for you. You’ll learn of his love and compassion.

The Bible is important because it equips us, exposes us then encourages us!

The main reason that the Bible is important, more than any other, is because it is God’s Word to us.

DL Moody said: “The scriptures were not given for our information but our transformation.” –

I pray that you begin studying the word of God, to grow in knowledge and truth.

Many blessings,

Connie
