This message caught my eye as I scan my email, twitter and Facebook feeds everyday for news and inspiration. Our Dear friend, Darlene Quiring from Mt. Lake, Minnesota posts many interesting messages. She also shares messages from others, this message came from a friend of hers. Darlene is one of the most godly persons we know. Darlene was going to school in Windom, Minnesota during the time my Dad was working at the school as a custodian before he was named Transportation Director, our roots run deep. This is a very different  perspective on this world we live in. It made me stop and think.

I know things look rough these days. I know what the economy is like. I know about the corruption and abuse that is being revealed in the government, corporations, and religious institutions. I know about the confusion and how things seem to be falling apart.
What if they’re not falling apart? What if they are falling into place?
I can focus on these things, and worry and fret about what is going to happen next, or I can see them for what they are. First let me say that none of these things are God punishing us. God isn’t angry at us.
These things are actually the result of us judging one another, condemning one another, hating one another, and being self-centered and full of pride. We cannot continue to build our society on such things and expect our society not to fall.
People are watching the news, looking for someone to blame. They don’t seem to be able to see anything good. I believe it’s because they are looking in the wrong place. People are trying to figure out what to do about what’s going on and they have no idea. They think if they shout the bad news long enough and loud enough that things will change for the better. Instead they are only putting fuel on the fire. They are actually speeding up the demise of society.
The systems of this world are sick and dying. They have proven how foolish and weak they really are. It is time that people began to realize this. It is time for a new paradigm.
The only paradigm that will work is the kingdom of God. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the good news that we should focus on. If we begin to see and understand exactly who Jesus is and what He accomplished in His incarnation, and give Him preeminence in all things, we will start seeing the restoration of all things.
The kingdom of God does not work in the same way that the world systems work. The systems of the world can never bring true prosperity, peace, or justice because they are based upon greed, self-centeredness, hatred, and condemnation. They can only hurt us more and not bring healing and restoration.
Only the kingdom of God rising up in the hearts of people can bring about the necessary changes, because it is based on unconditional love of others. It is other-centered, self-giving, love. It involves mercy and forgiveness with no condemnation. It heals and restores and makes all things new.
So don’t be surprised or fearful when the world seems to be falling down around us. There is a reset coming but it isn’t something that man does in his own strength. This is God’s reset. This is where we begin to live in the new creation realities that Jesus came and established.
OUR RESTORING PAPA, let us not be afraid of what we see happening around us. As the world’s systems fall under their own weight, help us to see the kingdom of God rising in the Earth. Help us to see all things being restored, as righteousness, peace, and joy begin to fill the Earth.
Grace and peace. Amen.
