Here in New Mexico we just had a State Legislator arrested for DWI. I pray that her life turns out the same as this woman who got so much help from a Minnesota State Trooper. Please pray for all of our Law Enforcement Officers, they are doing the best they can under horrible conditions in America. By the way, I am old fashion, I never refer to them as COPS, it drive me nuts when I hear a news reporter say COPS! I was taught years ago, yes I am old fashion, to refer to these heroes as Officers or POLICE OFFICERS, my way of greeting them is, “Thank you for your service Officer.” It is a sign of deserved respect.
It’s an improbable friendship: a distraught woman detained for a DWI and her arresting officer.
But the details of the touching story, which has stretched over a decade, prove that difficult moments have a way of changing and refining people’s lives — and that change, no matter how far we’ve fallen, is possible.
