May The Christmas Winds Blow…

Good morning beautiful people, good morning. The wind has blown hard the last several days. Those winds have a way of changing things around, that’s for sure. I heard the wind blow throughout the night. The night before the wind blew so hard, I ended up with some neighbors items in my yard. I like the sound of the wind, to me it means refreshing.

I wanted to share this morning from an experience I was part of that brought change to the way I looked at ministry and did ministry. It certainly was winds of change in my life.

I was part of a team years ago that took evangelism to a new level. At least it was a new level for me. I was a bit challenged at first, but I saw the results firsthand. Our team would go and meet people. We would pray with them and ask God to drop something in one of our teams heart for that person. Sometimes the people were intoxicated, on drugs, sometimes they were not. It didn’t change a thing. Their life issues didn’t bother God, so we didn’t let them bother us either. We looked straight to their beating heart. God always came through.

God had something to say to every person we ministered to. It was there on the streets, in that city (second largest city in the U.S.) that I discovered how much God loved people.  God was looking at their heart. He meets people right where they were at, gave them encouraging words and direction for their lives from total strangers. That was a big change on how to evangelize for me.

Today let’s thank God for winds of change. Let’s be open to change. Change isn’t easy but can be done.

Let’s Pray:

Father, thank you for breathing new life in our lives today. Father, thank you that you died for people. Thank you for mercy and grace. None of us are worthy to receive what you have freely given for mankind.

Father, blow fresh on us today. May the winds of change of evangelism blow over our nation today. Show us the great and mighty things.

Father, start right here in Aroostook County, Maine and blow right on through to the nations of the world, today we pray. Amen. Blow mighty wind, blow.

Have a blessed day God’s most beautiful people. Thank him for fresh winds in your life today. May God himself continue to change us from glory to glory. Let’s be a blessing today to someone we meet. God wants to use us all for his glory alone.

The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. John 3:8
