I love this interview with Denzel Washington! He is calling us all out! I have said for years it is time the Church stop playing Church and be the Church and take responsibility for our part in the failures of our society and put our feet to our prayers and carry out THE GREAT COMMISSION! Bring down the walls, bring down the pep rally’s, bring down the denominations, many Churches are not even baptizing people! Is your Church baptizing people? Is your Church out in the streets building bridges of love and trust? Does your Church do prayer walks in your town? Is your Church feeding the hungry? Is your Church helping the homeless find a home? Think Mother Teresa! Our daughter Gretchen has coats and hand warmers in her car that she gives out as she drives the streets of Albuquerque. Can we stop preaching to the choir so much!!! Get uncomfortable, get out from those walls, get your hands and feet a bit dirty! Forget about comfort and fancy dancy! Serve Jesus. THE GREAT COMMISSION is a command!!! Not a suggestion!!!!! Much of the Church in America has lost its salt!!!

Every morning when I get up anywhere between 2am and 4am I ask the Lord, “Lord, am I doing all I can to serve you and your people?” I ask the Lord to guide me every moment of the day to do His will and not mine. I pray that I do not say anything or do anything stupid. I am in awe of Him that I’m going to be 66 and still in full-time ministry. I am in awe of Him that He put me in this spot to serve Him. I just heard from my friend Tan Tian in Malaysia, he loves the ministry God has formed here at FGGAM. As Tan says, “The world has become much smaller because of the internet.” FGGAM reaches the world from my little office in our home and we use the ‘JESUS Car’ to hit the streets and roads of New Mexico and we use newspaper and radio also to touch the world. God has blessed me and Sharon so much with the tools. In looking at all the social media we use, we reach about a thousand people a day, just in social media, not bad for a little ministry. That does not include our newspaper and radio and podcasts.
I was thinking this morning about the Church during the Revolutionary War, The Civil War, The Great Depression, World War II, The Cuban Missile Crisis, Vietnam War, Watergate to the present crisis in America, that is getting worse everyday. We have become such a lawless country, So many innocent people are dying everyday of violence. It is going to be a very dark winter. Politics has overtaken the Church in many areas. Where is the Church? The Church in America has helped get our Country through hell in the past, can it rise above the stink and sin? Can it find its salt? Can it stop supporting evil people for public office? Is this what you want for your children and grandchildren? We are in the thick of Spiritual Warfare!

Albuquerque is a city filled with thugs! The murder rate is soaring! No end in site to all these killings! Our Law Enforcement Officers are overwhelmed! Hearts need to be given to Jesus, we, as people of God, must carry out THE GREAT COMMISSION! I will preach that until Pastors and all Christians understand that! What the Church is doing here in Albuquerque is not brining many people into the Kingdom of God. As my mentor, Pastor Don Kimbro says, “For years the Church has not been baptizing enough people.” We are failing to be ‘soul savers’ for JESUS! No more pep rally’s please! Hit the streets! Bring down the walls! Stop preaching to the choir so much! Fancy dancy is not getting the work done for JESUS! We all need to build bridges of love and trust! What are you doing about it????
TIME TO LOOK INTO THE MIRROR PEOPLE OF GOD!!!
This situation is so very dangerous for our Law Enforcement Officers and all those that own and work in stores. It also can be dangerous for customers. Just a couple of days ago a thug robbed a store near us at gun point, the store was filled with people. I am here to tell you this is a very dangerous situation……it will get worse…my prayer is that no one is killed. Beware of your surroundings at all times. It is horrible that since he was re-elected Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller has been quite! I know he cannot stop the crime, but at least he should show vocal support for our Police and Community! I think its past time the Mayor do ride-a-longs with the Police. At the very least the Mayor should do patrol of Paso and all our drag strips in Albuquerque! Speed, drunk driving, pot heads……driving and destroying! I AM VERY CONCERNED FOR THE SAFTEY OF ALL PEOPLE! It is not fair to put this all on the back of our Law Enforcement heroes! Where is Sheriff Manny by the way? Since his defeat I have not heard but a peep from him as the County rages in crime.
