Drawing Near To God
Hebrews 10:22-24 Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of Faith, having our hearts sprinkle to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water
Drawing near to God involves coming close just the way you wish to be with those you love. Seeking expresses the action, while drawing near expresses the heart attitude.
Isaiah proclaimed, Seek the Lord while he may be found, call on Him while He is near
Drawing near to God is wanting to have a close relationship with Him. You want to feel His heartbeat, His presence, His love, His peace and comfort , hearing His voice .
That requires to take time aside for Him find a quiet place .
John 14:6 Jesus answered I am the way and the Truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
When you choose to make Jesus your personal Lord and Savior means you are trusting Him with your life. We must have faith and know that we can get closer to God through Jesus .
If you want to receive the salvation that is available through Jesus Christ, place your faith in Him (Acts 16:31) repent from your sins and trust His death as the sacrifice for your sins. He promises to send His Holy Spirit to those who receive Him.
Drawing near to God is to repent from your sins , except Him in your heart , read His Word , study the Word know who God is, His Word says in 2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is breathed out of God and profitable for teaching, for reproof for correction and for training in righteousness.
When you make it priority to study the bible and you will draw near to God.
God is our heavenly Father
Ephesians 4:6 One God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
He is love 1 John 4:8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love
You can find God through prayer by communicating with Him with a heart of faith, trust for our prayers will not fall to deaf ears. Cut out all distractions and use your time to focus on talking to Him.
Matthew 6:6 When you pray go into your room close the door and pray to your Father who is unseen. Then your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.
Psalm 145:18 The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
When spending time with God meditate on his word , fill your mind with scriptures and memorize them . In doing so you will be feeding your soul, mind and spirit which will give you strength, courage and faith.
Sitting here in the secret place
My Lord I seek your face
Surrendering all I come before Your Throne
Knowing I am not alone
With a heart of confidence I draw near
You reassure me, I need not to fear
My heart is at rest, my soul is comforted
You know what is best
I will dwell in the secret place
For Your grace and love, I will always embrace
