I have been saying for a long time that more Christians, especially Pastors need to run when called by God. I pray we all will seek the face of JESUS to see if we should run for office. We all need to listen to God. God has told me to stay where HE has me, as a Pastor and Watchman of the wall for Him. What is God telling you? You will never know until you have a very close relationship with HIM. SEEK and LISTEN! I have two dear friends running for office, Pastor Paul Jaramillo, pictured at the very top, of Los Alamos who is running for a seat on the school board and Ethel Maharg who is running for governor of New Mexico. No surprise, both are being attacked. When you stand for God in America you will come under siege. We are in very bad shape. WE NEED BOLD PASTORS!!! WE NEED BOLD CHRISTIANS! Spiritual Warfare is hot and heavy. The Truth About Spiritual Warfare Christians are becoming less and less in this country and we  need to speak up! We need to take action. We need Christians to run for local offices, state offices, and national office. School Board to the White House! We also all need to carry out THE GREAT COMMISSION! What is The Great Commission?
Hello, my name is Paul Anthony Jaramillo and I am running for a seat on the Los Alamos School District Board. First and foremost everyone must understand that I am putting my hat in sorta speak as an individual with my own personal spiritual beliefs. I do not speak for the church I speak for myself.
That being said I have served in an educational environment in our community for only 4 years as a teachers assistant and a substitute teacher not because I needed money but because I love children and care deeply for their future. Before that I worked for several years as a security inspector at the lab and several more years as a funeral director following that I pastored Los Alamos Christian Fellowship and later in June of 2017 I founded and open the door to OpenDoor Bible Ministries/Hope During Hard Times on fathers day. As a member of the Christian Community and as a pastor and being familiar with the community, and familiar with the classroom I am running for the School Board which will allow me to continue working and advocating for all children in our community. What I mean by advocating is by bringing back the basic teachings of math, social studies, science and the acknowledgement of the traditional family unit etc. to the classroom and not let hot topics like Critical Race Theory and the transgender/LGBTQ agendas superceded them. CRT is racist, and the overall goal is destruction in the education system. The purpose is to keep people down and always reminding people of their past.
Enough is enough we are destroying our children in a horrifying way. You can’t change truth and you can’t change facts. Period.
We have lost traction.
I believe that a school board must be responsive and receptive to parents, staff, students and the community at large, encouraging an open dialog. The board must take input from all groups and weigh all the facts before making a decision. A Board member is a trustee of the community that elects him or her. That Trustee must be accessible and willing to collaborate with all members of the community; that includes all District staff. Anyone that comes before the board has the right to be heard # not just to speak. A school board member must build public understanding, support and participation. So what platform am I running on you may ask? I’m running for equity (fair and impartial) treatment for students. Example: We were taught to believe science. But yet we ignore the facts of science biologically and have become complacent with societies agenda and ignore truth.
My efforts as a board member would center on serving all of the children in the community; one child is no more important than another. We are a diverse community and have to learn to co-habit because were all here. Our schools are here to serve the educational needs of all the children. Not play the race card! Not become a victim because others tell you you are to fulfill their agenda. All stakeholders; parents, all district personnel Certificated, Classified, and Management, as well as students must be partners in this endeavor if we are to be successful.
A key issue for school boards is to create a long-term vision, mapping a course that provides the necessary opportunities students need to reach their full potential. The board is responsible for establishing and maintaining a structure that supports this vision, empowers the staff, and provides leadership. It is difficult to provide leadership and carry out a vision when a district lurches from crisis to crisis, like a ship without a rudder. With my background and knowledge of our district I can help to provide the necessary leadership to keep the district on an even keel. I strongly believe that we have tremendous teachers and staff working with our children. We must re-establish morale amongst all district employees, and work to return harmony throughout the district. Education takes place in the classroom and the board’s efforts must focus on enhancing and enriching what goes on there.
With this ongoing pandemic we have no guarantees of what the future looks like. Staff shortages are at an all time high throughout the state. We need to have a plan in place that will attract the best and the brightest to the Los Alamos School District because they want to come here and be treated fairly and equally. Every community in New Mexico is competing for the same pool of available teachers and the shortage of qualified teachers grows daily.
By working together we can all share in the knowledge and satisfaction that we have provided for the educational needs of all children, and have built a district where students, parents, teachers, and staff feel they are welcome and that they belong. I ask for your support because IT IS TIME FOR A CHANGE.

I have stated for years we are in Spiritual Warfare and the Church needs to carry out THE GREAT COMMISSION! JESUS IS OUR ONLY HOPE!!!! Spiritual Warfare is hot and heavy right now in the entire world! Satan is having his way with so many! Where are the people of GOD???? This mess is only going to get worse, so many souls are turning to drugs, here in New Mexico the governor and her gang passed legalized pot!!!!!! Just what is needed in poverty stricken New Mexico, crime ravaged New Mexico, abortion capitol New Mexico, child hunger New Mexico.

Priscilla Shirer’s Bible study, The Armor of God, takes its name from the well-known spiritual warfare passage in Ephesians 6:10-20.

“When Paul talks about spiritual warfare in Ephesians 6, prayer is the seventh piece of armor. It activates all of the rest of the spiritual armor,” she said. “When we refuse to pray, it’s like having a refrigerator without plugging it in. Prayer is the divinely authorized mechanism God has given us to tap into His power. Without prayer, we’ll be ineffective in spiritual warfare. But with it, we will be victorious.”

The Truth About Spiritual Warfare

Great message here by Billy Graham……..I have been saying for years that we need MATURE CHRISTIANS, we are suffering much because we do not help people in grow in love with Jesus. One reason is that many see too much hate in Christians and do not go to Church. Love like Jesus. Live that so people see Jesus in you and not Hollywood!

FROM THE CHRISTIAN POST:

By Leonardo Blair, Christian Post Reporter FacebookTwitter

Americans who don’t have a college degree are now facing a “bleak” and deadlier future compared to those who do, according to Princeton researchers who recently found increasing deaths by drugs, alcohol and suicide, known as “deaths of despair,” are largely concentrated among this group while a college degree appears to act as a talisman against them.

In their working paper, The Great Divide: Education, Despair and Death published this month, husband and wife research team, Anne Case and Nobel Prize winner Angus Deaton, build on previous research examining the relationship between mortality and education in America.

Violence in Youth Football in Albuquerque:

This is way out of control! Where are the MEN OF GOD????? WHERE ARE THEY???? This is far from biblical!!!! If I was in charge, all those who took part in this violence would be suspended for at least 1 year or more, maybe forever! How can men be teaching kids this behavior is okay??? Then to hear that this type of behavior has been going on for years!!! Horrible! This type of behavior bleeds into our streets and schools. We are losing generation after generation of children because of how they are raised, thinking these satanic ways make you a man. Shame! WHERE ARE THE MEN OF GOD??????

Maybe this league needs to be disbanded and a new league started.

Satan is having his way with many.

JESUS must be at the center of everything!

The key verse for this years Soldiers of the Cross Men’s encounter is….REAL MEN: Seek first the Kingdom of God…..I will add….and not football, or anything else.

Violence at YAFL games raises concerns, prompts emergency meeting

I wrote this reported this week…….look at the satanic mess that has been created in New Mexico:

New Mexico Poverty

Pastor Dewey Note: I beleive that God is not happy with many of us, we walk around at at every corner we say “GOD BLESS AMERICA”, but we continue to kill His babies through abortion, and kill children through abuse and other means. ……God blessed this country when He founded it, we are the ones that need to bless God and not be fools. Here in New Mexico we will soon have legalized pot. Pot heads driving cars along with all the drunk drivers. New Mexico also has home delivery of booze! I guess the pot heads, boozers and abortionists are happy along with Satan. Do I need to mention how violent New Mexico has become. The New Mexico State Police once again have been called into Albuquerque to help our understaffed police force! Do I need to mention all the CORRUPTION in the state? New Mexicans keep electing anti-life politicians. Satan is having his with with so many. Christians need to seek the the face of the LORD to see if they should run for office. I am so very grateful for one of my heroes of faith Pastor Paul Jaramillo of the Open Door Bible Ministry Church in Los Alamos who is running for the school board! That is how we can change our culture! Amen!

Expert Commentary

What are the key ingredients to a happy life?

“The most fundamental elements to a happy life comprised of a combination of factors. It begins with being mentally, emotionally, physically, and socially healthy. It also requires having healthy relationships with individuals in your personal and social circles and be contented with the choices you have made in your life journey. Furthermore, harmful, or toxic behaviors are not positive components of happiness, and you must display self-authenticity while striving to be the best person you can be each day.”
Wendy Johnny – Assistant Professor, City University of New York

“What we see across the world is that having access to health care and robust welfare programs helps to ensure that people are able to live a happy life. These things are not on their own sufficient to be happy, but we all need a good baseline in which our physical needs are satisfied in order to live a happy life. Once we have gotten this baseline secured, the next best things we can do are to focus on the quality and nature of our social relationships and to develop a mindset marked by optimism, compassion, and gratitude – qualities of mind which are both part of feeling happy and conducive towards feeling happier. We need to be able to see the good around us, take it in, and experience it with others.”
Lorraine Besser – Professor of Philosophy, Middlebury College

How important is money to people’s happiness?

“It matters, but not as much as one might think. Across research studies, income tends to be positively associated with subjective well-being. That means that as an individual’s income increases, their perceptions of their well-being tend to also increase. However, this effect tends to be small and to level out as income increases. At a certain point, more money does not contribute to greater well-being.”
Stacey McElroy-Heltzel, Ph.D. – Assistant Professor, The University of Iowa

“The research on the question of money is clear. Being poor and having a lot of stress because you do not have enough money definitely makes you unhappy, but once your income reaches a minimum threshold (about $75,000 per year in most parts of the U.S.), getting more money after that does not significantly increase happiness.”
Frank T. McAndrew, Ph.D. – Professor, Knox College

Considering the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, what will be the long-term effects on citizens’ level of happiness? What are some steps a person can take to ensure a state of psychological well-being?

“With the protracted nature of this pandemic, which has only intensified stress for some who were already suffering, we are becoming chronically anxious and chronically stressed. Our feelings of anxiety and stress as well as our responses to them (particularly, unhealthy coping responses) can become habits and take a toll on our health and wellbeing that can well outlast the pandemic. When things get better, our chronic habits of anxiety and worry may not automatically disappear completely. In my opinion, as individuals, we might need to take very conscious steps to regulate our worry and utilize interventions that can restore calmness and contentment…We also need meaningful and well-paying jobs, and welcoming and safe communities to support our psychological wellbeing.”
Meg Warren, Ph.D. – Associate Professor, Western Washington University

“The pandemic taught most of us a lot about the importance of having close social relationships and the dangers of social isolation. We should all take steps to ensure that we have close contacts, and that these relationships are positive and fulfilling ones. But to thrive we need more than our close contacts. I worry about the long-term effect of social distancing, wherein we must train ourselves to move away from people, and of mask-wearing, which inhibit the empathetic connections made through our facial expressions. We need to learn how to connect with others in ways that are less physical yet still meaningful and assuring.”
Lorraine Besser – Professor of Philosophy, Middlebury College
