Taos News Reports: Though the event will be smaller than normal 10,000 person gatherings due to COVID, Duran was upfront in acknowledging that “there will be impacts” from the congregation of an estimated 2,000 to 5,000 people this year in the Carson National Forest this year. “Some of those will be beneficial positive impacts – folks coming to town will spend money, – but it also brings some of the negative impacts,” said said Carson National Forest supervisor James Duran Taos News Report
