Such an AWESOME TESTIMIONY from Sister Connie Keyohara about her Daddy! PTL!!!

Connie Keyohara

One of my favorite memories of my father is that every night at the dinner table was always so much fun. So much laughing, learning and joy.

After dinner ice cream was my favorite. He was also always so active with us. And if he was tired, we would’ve never known it.

But the most important thing that my daddy ever did for me, is giving me a foundation for my belief in Jesus Christ.

You see, we were not Christians early on, but my dad always portrayed those traits of a Christian long before we had met Christ.

I never realized it until I got older, but he always exemplified the fruits of the spirit, which are; love, Joy, peace, patients, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control.

My dad also taught us something very important and it’s something that I will take with me the rest of my life. He said “evangelize, evangelize, evangelize and when necessary use words.”

My dad has a heart for God, for his community, for his culture and for his kids. I’ve seen him help the homeless, the poor, the fatherless, the widow and the orphan.

He is also very well-versed, written and read. He is probably the smartest man I know. He could memorize scripture like nobody’s business and he’s very wise.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

John 15:13

And I will end with this story:

I was in Albuquerque with my folks. We stopped at Walgreens to get a prescription and as I got out of the truck a homeless man approaches the vehicle rapidly.

He scared me and I asked him to leave us alone and he says “no, you don’t understand.  I want to talk to Mike.” Then he says, “don’t worry Mike is my friend.”

He proceeded to tell me that my dad and mom come by there weekly and give him money for food. I had no idea my parents had a ministry to the homeless because they never said anything.

I would never have known until this gentleman approached me and let me know. Not only did they give him money,  they also gave him a gospel tract to encourage him towards Jesus Christ.

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

James 1:27

He taught me about forgiveness, working hard as unto the Lord and that family is very important.

And I’ve seen him love my mom, bless her, take care of her and honor her. Just as Christ does the church.

I’m grateful, thankful and blessed that God chose Mike to be my Daddy.

I love you Dad.

Happy Father’s Day.

Connie
