Please pray for rain. Our heart breaks for many.

We just returned from a week in California. It was so very, very sad to see all the parched land. If the land does not have irrigation, it is dead or dying. The Bakersfield area looks so dead, never seen anything like it. We traveled up to Sharon’s Mom’s home in Elk Grove which is right next door to Sacramento. As we traveled in California there were patches of land that were green because of irrigation and then dead patches that have dried up. We saw grape vines dead, vineyards wiped out. The parts around I 40 in New Mexico and Arizona are in dire need of rain also. It is a very painful situation for many. Many farmers and ranchers are taking a big hit. I cannot help but wonder if this is the ‘new normal’ in the west. My dear brother in Christ, Cowboy Deacon Charles McCargish in Reserve, New Mexico says it is the worst drought in the 75 years he has lived in Catron County

America is in a Spiritual Drought, Are you?

I have seen this coming for years and years. I have been studying Spiritual Drought for years. This is just one of the studies I have read: Spiritual drought, though a persistent and unwelcome visitor, is not something with which we must constantly live. There are biblical means by which we can, by grace, put ourselves in the way of refreshment; we can be restored to once again feel the joy of our salvation. But this can only happen if we are able to discern why we might be experiencing spiritual dryness so we can take the appropriate action. With this in mind, I would like to suggest a few reasons we may be experiencing a season of spiritual drought and provide the correlating remedies.
