Randy Alcorn’s Six Considerations Before You Share on Social Media

Oh My! This is a good read! I have seen to many Christians acting like the devil on Facebook and twitter. Those folks do more damage to the Body of Christ than they will ever know until they get to heaven, especially all the conspiracy theorists. Take a Biblical Worldview at everything. Do not show a crazy world what it wants to see from Christians! A crazy world wants to see crazy Christians behaving badly. Keep your crazy thoughts to yourself! Do not embarrass the Kingdom of God! The Church will not attract folks to the Kingdom with crazy. This past Presidential cycle showed the world many crazy Christians.

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7

But also, for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Six Considerations Before You Share on Social Media

Last year I did a series of blogs on what Scripture has to say about the power of the tongue. The cumulative weight of those verses is stunning. In today’s social media world, which allows us to publish comments to the world with the mere push of a button, more than ever we as God’s people need to read and meditate on Scripture, and examine our heart and habits. We need to be slower to anger and slower to speak, and quicker to hear and think biblically.
