We are blessed to have this message from Kathy Branzell of National Day of Prayer! I pray every village, town, and city will have a National Day of Prayer Event, along with every Church being involved!

Friend —

“But we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.” Acts 6:4 NKJV

The National Day of Prayer is just two weeks from today! Thousands of volunteers around our nation have been preparing for this day for months. They’ve been working diligently, preparing, promoting, and praying continually for their events in their communities – mobilizing unified public prayer for America.

Over the next two weeks, we want to encourage everyone to personally mobilize and promote prayer more fervently than ever! There is still time to order resources through www.nationaldayofprayer.net and receive them before your event. For less than the cost of one meal at a drive-thru restaurant, we can each provide 100 people in our churches and community with a prayer guide to help equip and encourage them to pray!

In just a few minutes, we can all forward this email to our contact list or take a minute or two to share our National Day of Prayer posts out to our Facebook friends and Instagram followers. If each of us receiving this email got the word out to just 100 people through email, social media, and sharing resources, we would mobilize over 6.5 million people to pray for America! When we know that there are millions praying fervent, effective prayers, we know that God’s Word tells us that those prayers ‘avail much’.

Along with sharing resources, emails, and social media posts. We can let our local radio and television stations know that there are promotional tools, media guides, PSA scripts, radio spots, web graphics and a video of Kathy Branzell praying our national prayer on video – all available to download on our website at https://www.nationaldayofprayer.org/promotional_tools. There are also promotional videos and a PowerPoint slide that churches can use the next two Sundays to rally their congregations to pray.

The event finder is available to post or find an event at https://www.nationaldayofprayer.org/events or our state coordinators are available by email or phone for questions, their contact information can be found at https://www.nationaldayofprayer.org/state_coordinators.

Also, we can let people know about the National Broadcast on Thursday evening May 6th at 8 pm ET. You can link to it from our website, or watch it on Facebook LIVE, GodTV, Daystar, TLN, or listen on Christian radio networks that are carrying the broadcast. Check with your local stations for availability and times.

However we choose to participate in this year’s National Day of Prayer, the most important thing we can do is pray, so please join me:

Lord, we want to be faithful as your apostles were faithful. We want to focus on Your ‘main things’ Lord, giving ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word and encouraging others to do the same because that is where TRUE, BIBLICAL love, life, liberty are found. Lord Pour Out Your Love, Life, and Liberty on America.

Serving Christ,

About the National Day of Prayer

The National Day of Prayer tradition predates the founding of the United States of America, evidenced by the Continental Congress’ proclamation in 1775 setting aside a day of prayer. In 1952, Congress established an annual day of prayer and, in 1988, that law was amended, designating the National Day of Prayer as the first Thursday in May.
