Crisis Zone

Jeremiah 24:7 ‘And I will give them a heart to know Me, for I am the LORD; and they will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me with their whole heart.’

Ezekiel 36:26 “Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.”

The crisis zone is head to heart. Do you agree with Him or not? Do you believe what He says about you? Your heart knows the truth but it’s our mind that is the deciding factor as we grow in Him.

I remember sharing with another Jesus knower about how the Lord delivered me from cigarettes. They were needing help and I was encouraging them. This person said, “Well, it works for you, but it’s not the same for me and everyone else.” I reminded this person that first of all, ‘it’ is a He and oh yes He does do the same for others. He’s the same yesterday, today and forever for you, me and anyone else who asks for His help. The deficit is not on Him, but whether we choose to ask for His help and agree with Him. The word ‘crisis’ means: determination, decision; the deciding event in the course of anything.

Jeremiah 31:33 “But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days, “declares the LORD, “I will put My law within them, and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”

“Those days” is referring to the days He took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt and the covenant they broke though He was a husband to them. They wanted to go back; to their cucumbers, their garlic, and to slavery.

Hebrews 10:16-18 “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws upon their heart, and upon their mind I will write them,” He then says, “and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” Now where there is forgiveness of these these things, there is no longer any offering for sin.

He doesn’t remember our sin and lawless deeds, so why do we? Put the stick down and quit beating yourself up! He loves you…always and forever and no matter what. He’s trustworthy. We all do things that aren’t good, but that doesn’t change His love for us.

I was meditating the other night and I ran up to Yeshua and jumped into His arms. He said, “Come on, I’ve got something to show you.” I walked with Him, holding onto His arm and looking up at Him, as I like to do, and He brought me down a path to the beach. We stopped where the water met the sand and looked out at the ocean. He said, “That’s how much I love you. Let Me love you.” Let Him love you.

Romans 7:14-25 shows us Paul’s crisis. Sometimes we forget that he was a person like us, and not just a story character. He had to get his mind renewed just like we do.

Romans 7:22-23 For I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man, but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind, and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members.

Have you ever heard the saying, ‘the man follows the mind’? It’s true! That’s why we are to take care about what we allow into our thoughts. Seeing what we’re doing is part of stopping it. (Check out my post: Judge Me Lord) I ask Him to show me, me.

Colossians 2:18 Let no one keep defrauding you of your prize by delighting in self-abasement and the worship of angels, taking his stand on visions he has seen, inflated without cause by his fleshly mind.

Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things.

You get to choose what you think on. That’s great news! The crisis zone boils down to this: He’s given us a heart to know Him and placed His laws in our hearts, and as we get our minds renewed, we begin to agree with Him and see as He sees. We can hear His still, small voice better (I Kings 19:11-13).

Job 22:21-25 “Agree with God, and be at peace; thereby good will come to you. Receive instruction from His mouth, and lay up His words in your heart. If you return to the Almighty you will be built up; if you remove injustice far from your tents, if you lay gold in the dust, and gold of Ophir among the stones of the torrent-bed, then the Almighty will be your gold and your precious silver.

Dawn's heart is to encourage the Body so that all would come to see the Christ-life as all-living, life-giving truth, that we would all walk in the Holy Spirit to such fullness that anyone we come in contact with comes in contact with the living God. (Ephesians 4:23-24) She has always liked writing and in March 2007, the Lord gave her 1 Peter 4:10-11 As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. Dawn is very blessed to be married to her best friend, Ron, who continually nourishes her with the washing of the Word. They currently live in Oklahoma, and have two married sons, an adult daughter, six granddaughters and two grandsons.
