A Simple Yes…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Yesterday, I drove a dear friend to the airport to fulfill a mission God placed on her heart. I admired her willingness to simply say yes and respond with courage. I found myself asking God to forgive me for all the times I didn’t go, when he asked me to do a simple mission right here in my own hometown. It wasn’t that I didn’t want to be obedient, but sometimes I must confess, I thought I could be hearing wrong and I didn’t want to look bad. He doesn’t always give you the whole plan or picture, but it’s after we say yes that things unfold. Because I wasn’t sure and didn’t want to look bad, I missed many opportunities.
Today beautiful people, whatever God may ask of us, let’s simply say yes. Let’s sharpen our ears and listen closely. He tells us he is our rear guard. He isn’t looking for perfection, he is looking for a willing heart. Amen? Amen.
Father, send us today, we will go. Thank you for missions right here in our town or city. Father, for all those losing hope today, we pray strength. Father, thank you for sending help from on high. Give us God assignments today bigger than what we can accomplish on our own. We simply say yes.
Father, you know what your people need before they even ask. Today, we stand in the gap for them and ask you to meet every need. Thank you that you were not looking for perfect folks, you were looking for a people to simply commune with you and respond with whatever you ask of them. Father, we simply say yes.
Have a blessed day God’s most beautiful people. Take your assignment and go…
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” Isaiah 6:8
