America is losing ground fast, and not just because of a change in governmental leaderships. For too many years to determine when it all began, the church in America has lost its voice, influence, appeal, desire, and determination to stand against all forms of immorality. The American Christian Church (all denominations), has moved its Head from Christ to the corporate board room. She has taken her model from the business world for the growth of the church, and she is losing, and therefore, America is losing her long-standing identity.
Jesus said of growth of the church, “I will build My Church!” I believe that is exactly what He meant.
I believe much of what political power structures are doing today, especially with regard to Covid 19 (which is a real and very present danger with lives being lost daily), is to control with much lies, to cause fear and panic, to divide families, genders, churches, communities, and even nationalities, and perhaps more powerful, to steal our sense of identity.
Church, we need to rediscover our identity in Christ Jesus! Nothing else will have a redeeming effect on our nation and her people. Beloved, we must have a revival like the world has never known before. We have had some very powerful movements of God in our pasts, but we must experience the power of God in His Church to change a nation, even the world. The world is watching America with hope. Did you catch that? The world is watching our political structure with great hope because the church has lost so much influence that they see little hope the church can turn things around.
Church . . . you must awaken to your identity in Christ Jesus your LORD! Beloved, prayerfully read the following, and the Scriptures indicated, and humble ourselves, and pray and seek His face, turning from our evil ways, so He will hear, and heal the Church, and heal our land!
Beloved, there is only one confirmed living God, Who is worthy of all honor, glory and praise. God is one God, and He exists and does His work in the world, as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He is, and forever will be, our Creator, Sustainer, the Beginning and End of all things. (See Exodus 20:2, 3; Revelation 4:11; Revelation 5:9, 10; Revelation 22:13; Isaiah 43:1, 7, 21).
Jesus Christ, incarnate as the Messiah, the Word born into the world, became flesh and dwelt among us. He came to defeat the evil one, Satan, and his works against mankind, setting us free in Him (Christ) from the penalty of our sins. (See 1 John 3:8; Colossians 2:15; John 1:1, 14).
God has demonstrated His love, once and for all persons, because when we were still sinners, Christ died for us, delivering us from the realm of darkness and reassigned us into His kingdom, and in Him we have salvation —the forgiveness of sins (See Romans 5:8; Colossians 1:13, 14).
In Christ, we are children of God, seated with Him in the heavenlies. We are saved only by the grace of God through faith; it is a gift of God, and not the result of any effort on our part (See 1 John 3:1-3; Ephesians 2:6; Ephesians 2:8, 9).
As Christians, we are strong in the LORD and in the strength of His might. Therefore, we place no trust in the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not flesh; we put on the whole armor of God, and stand firm in our faith resisting the evil one. (See Ephesians 6:10; Philippians 3:3; 2 Corinthians 10:4; Ephesians 6:10-20).
Believers, apart from Christ we can do nothing, so declare your dependence upon Him. Choose to abide in Christ Jesus so that you bear much fruit and glorify the LORD. Make it known to the world and to the evil one that Jesus is your LORD, and reject any forged gifts or workings of Satan in your life. (See John 15:5; John 15:8; 1 Corinthians 12:3).
Beloved, there are so many lies, deceptions, and controversies in our world today, but remember and know that the Truth will set you free and that walking in the His Light, and the light of His redeemed Church, is the only way of true fellowship. Stand against the evil one’s con by taking every thought bound to obedience to Christ. Affirm that the Word of God is the only reliable criterion for life. At all times, speak the Truth in Love. (See 2 Timothy 3:15, 16; Ephesians 4:15; John 8:32; 1 John 1:7; 2 Corinthians 10:5).
Beloved, we need those who would live holy lives before a watching nation. Therefore, choose with great fervor to present your body on the altar of sacrifice as a means of virtue, and regenerate your mind by the living Word of God, the Bible, so you may substantiate that the will of God is good, acceptable and perfect. Determine to put off the old self with all its wickedness and put on the new self; be the new creature in Christ He bought you to be. (See Romans 6:13; Romans 12:1, 2; Colossians 3:9, 10; 2 Corinthians 5:17).
This is a hard and demanding world, therefore request of your Father to fill you with His Holy Spirit, guiding you into all truth, and give power to your life that you will not carry out the desires of the flesh. Surrender to and walk in the Spirit. (See Ephesians 5:18; John 16:13; Galatians 5:16; Galatians 5:24).
Believer, deny self (die to self, crucify self), choose to love from a pure heart; choose to obey God’s two greatest commandments: love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind, and love your neighbor as yourself. (See 1 Timothy 1:5; Matthew 22:37-39).
Finally my friend in Christ, know that Jesus Christ has all authority in heaven and on earth, and that He is the Ruling King over all power and authority, government or otherwise. In Him, the devil and his demons are subject to you in Christ, in view of the fact that you are a member of Christ’s Body, the Church. For that reason, obey the command to submit to God and to resist the devil, and demand in the name of Christ that he leave your presence. (See Matthew 28:18; Colossians 2:10; Ephesians 1:19-23; James 4:7).
Beloved, He is the only Hope we have for our children and grandchildren, and theirs to come. Let’s do this in Christ, and do it His way! Pray On!
