Today is our Wedding Anniversary! My words do not have justice for the love I have for Sharon. As our friend Tom Johnson says about Sharon, “She has such a quiet strength about her.” She is the strength of the ministry God has give us. People do not see all the work she does for the ministry and for many people. She does not seek the attention, If it was not for her there would be no FGGAM. When God pulled me out of the radio business to form FGGAM, we had just bought a new home, but when I came home one night and told her “Babe, I have got to leave the radio business to do the ministry that God is calling me to do.” She did not even blink, “She looked at me with her sweet and tender eyes and said, “Okay, honey.” I left my radio job, $90,000 a year…….Sharon sacrificed so very much selling off peroneal items and doing extra work so we could make it. In 2 1/2 years the ministry was funding itself, even thou it still was hard at times for another year or so… Sharon does not talk it, she walks it! She is such a wonderful ambassador for JESUS, a walking Bible. All for God’s Glory not herself. Sharon is an awesome testimony of walking with Jesus. Something that I have witnessed over the last several years is the ones who have that ‘quiet strength’ behind the scenes, achieve much for the Kingdom of God. Sharon is such an awesome wife, mother, grandmother, RN, and friend to many. She sacrifices much for many. I love her to Heaven and back! My hero!

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Ephesians 6:10

He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the LORD. Proverbs 18:22

After I posted this the Lord brought to me this clear message…..Sharon has taken my weaknesses and helped me with them, she has made me such a better man of God. Amen! God sent her to me.

I want to encourage you that ministry has to be a calling from God! God not you! Not your will but the Will and calling of God! Amen! A Godly ministry is not EASY!

From Adrian Rogers:

Have you ever written some God-given goals to keep you from being a drifter? Without goals, you’re a ship without a rudder, a compass, a sail, or an anchor. What kind of ship is that? One that is doomed for failure. Most people don’t plan to fail. They simply don’t plan. How can you tell whether or not your goal is a God-given goal?

  1. Have you prayed over it and asked for God’s blessing?
  2. Does it create in you enough spiritual enthusiasm and excitement to see it fulfilled?
  3. Does it demand the very best in you?
  4. Does it touch every area of your life?

No area of your life should be out-of-bounds from God.

ACTION POINT

Take time today—or surely this week—to seek God about the goals He wants you to set for your life. Write them down and think even of a mission statement focused on the following areas of your life: spiritual, physical, relational, intellectual, and financial.
