So Many in America Are Suffering: Thousands in Texas Seek Food For Thanksgiving, Hunger in New Mexico

We care falling apart brick by brick…..God has shown me this in so many ways…America fell in love with politics…..and left God. The Church put the salt shaker away and brought out the candy dish……

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. Matthew 5:13

As the late, great man of God, Chuck Colson said years ago, “The Church has become like a high school pep rally.”

Entertainment, performance, became popular in the American Church years ago..the Ten Commandments came down, preaching of hell stopped and I do not know what happened to the command of God to carry out The Great Commission? The Church needs to look into the mirror and then look to JESUS!

Many Churches have not been baptizing people……….We have to help raise up people to be mature Christians.

We only have ourselves to blame, stop pointing the finger.

This breaks my heart that we are falling apart as a nation. We have so many people suffering in so many ways in America. Politics is destroying our Country. Seek God America, not politics. Many have made politicians a ‘god.’ Who do you put your trust in?

America is full of people with such a BIG EGO! EGO stands for Edging God Out! They think they can get on the throne of God!!! So many Americans are so very foolish, thinking that abortion will not bring on the wrath of God.

America is in deep trouble, it is a Spiritual problem……America needs to Repent.

“Repentance is a turnaround of a sinful, self-centered way within us,” said Jonathon Cahn. “Repentance is a 180-degree turn in our heart and mind. A person is going one way, then realizes he is going the wrong direction and turns to the right direction. We are a tri-part creation of spirit, soul and body. We turn away from self-serving activities and turn to God, to walk in His ways.”

Repentance
Reconciliation
Restoration
Revival
Reformation

“Repentance is not a one-time occurrence, but a way of life,” Pastor Kevin Jessip. “When we turn from our sin to the Savior, it’s that repentant attitude that continues through our life’s journey. An unbeliever doesn’t have a repentant heart toward his sin. An unbeliever, or one who thinks he or she is right with God, yet has not repented of sin, is living in self-deceit. On the other hand, a true Christian, a follower of Christ, trembles at God’s Word consistently, and he believes His Word, therefore, walks in a reverent fear of the Lord.”

I pray you will be moved by my message today.

“I see blessings coming to us cause we all struggling,” resident Samantha Woods said while waiting in her car, according to CBS Dallas. “And I appreciate North Texas helping us out.”

Thousands in Texas line up in cars to receive food before Thanksgiving

In New Mexico315,990 people are struggling with hunger – and of them 114,180 are children. I am so very thankful for all the folks in the state working to feed those in need. In Reserve, where I serve at the First Baptist Church, the community has an excellent Food Bank! We are in very tough shape in the state in so many ways, and it is getting worse. As many argue about politics, many in this state go hungry. SHAME! According to several indicators by the national 2020 Kids Count Data Book, New Mexico still ranks 50th in the nation on child wellbeingNew Mexico has now ranked at the very bottom of the list for the fourth year for child wellbeing after ranking 50th in 2013, 2018, and 2019. What do you think God thinks of us? I warned about this years and years ago….much of the American Church lost the salt shaker and replaced it with the candy dish. We are praying a deep rice. The late great man of God, Chuck Colson said years ago that the ‘American Church had turned into a high school pep rally.’ Many love those ‘pep rallies’ Many have made politics their God.

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. Matthew 5:13

Dr. Jim Denison: Early Christians are our model with their passionate commitment to Jesus and to each other. They “devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers” (Acts 2:42). Consequently, in contrast to the selfish materialism of their day, “all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need” (vv. 44–45).

Billy Graham: There’s a dichotomy of man and God. Man is in conflict with the truth of God. God speaks of a fall and a condemnation, and His key word is “grace.” Modern man speaks of the soul’s native goodness, its aspirations and takes pride in natural good will. Man’s key word is “works.”

God speaks of the depths into which men have fallen. Man boasts of his ideals and his progress. God calls men to believe in Christ or be lost. Man says that it is enough to try to be like Christ. Man’s goal is imitation, not redemption. God declares that Christ is the Savior of the world. Man claims that Christ is just a great example.

Slowly we have drifted away from the Biblical truth that without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness (Hebrews 9:22). Man would like to make of the cross a thing of sentiment — a trinket to be worn around the neck — an ornament on a church steeple or an emblem stamped in gold on our Bibles.

A certain romantic interest has gathered around the story of the cross. But it is the suffering and sacrifice of Christ on Calvary that symbolize man’s utter helplessness to save himself. The cross as the supreme symbol of suffering reveals two basic facts that cannot be denied: the depth of man’s depravity and the immensity of God’s love.

We must not ignore God’s call on our lives for He desires that all people come to His salvation and the knowledge of His truth (1 Timothy 2:3-4).

This is not about politics, it is a Spiritual issue, New Mexico is spiritually dry, it is spiritually broke. We abort God’s babies, many are hungry, children are abused…..the list goes on and on, but so many are tied up in politics, thinking that is the answer, JESUS is the answer not awful politics. We see where politics, has gotten this state! SHAME! I love my JESUS, I love His children, I love my state, but I hate what people have done and are doing to it! I love the community of Reserve, they really care for each other! Support your local Food Bank!

America is digging its own grave……

I have been preaching on this for years…….politics for many Americans has replaced God on the throne. It is one key reason why we here in America are in such a mess…….everything is political for so many! Many in this country are playing in the pig pen and getting very muddy! Politics is dirty business. Listen, in all my years as a news reporter and Pastor, I have had Republicans and Democrats lie to me and over promise and under deliver. This is why I am an Independent! I vet my candidates by the Word of God, that includes of course, do they use bad language?, do they call people ‘bad names’?, I do not know if people in todays world know what that term means and also do they lie?, how do they treat spouse, and children, are they producing fruit?, Do they bring solutions to the table or just “nothing noise” broken promises? Do they have a Pastor?, Do they Attend Church?, Are they active in their Church? ARE THEY PRO-LIFE?…….  There are excellent politicians out there, but too few. The testimony that many Christians are showing the world is just what an unbelieving world wants to see, crazy and misbehaving Christians. We are to be Ambassadors for Christ. Don’t make people a God!

America needs a peacemaker………it always has had one, JESUS CHRIST, but many are blind.

We continue down the road to hell as a Country.

This post is another reason I am not popular in this world, it never has been my intent, I was called by God to report HIM and HIS ways!

One of my posts today got flagged by Facebook for ‘false information’ they need to talk to God. You see my friend, I am almost 65 years old I started in the news business in 1978 as a producer/reporter for the Minnesota State News Network. News reporters were trained to be impartial. I do not know any reporter nowadays that is impartial, we were trained in journalism class to report the facts and check your sources three times. I oversaw a 6 person news department at WFRN Christian radio in Elkhart/South Bend, Indiana. We had the legendary Marv Boone as our news director. I am tired of the news reporters of this day and very tired of the politicians of the day. Not all have big egos’, but so many reporters and politicians have a HUGE EGO! You know what EGO stands for? Edging GOD Out! The last politician that was so honest and hard hardworking that I have known is George Mann, who served in the Minnesota Legislature back in the 60’s and I think George served into the 70’s, I will have to check, my memory fails me at this point. George farmed outside of my home town of Windom, Minnesota and represented us so very well. As we said back in the day, “He was honest as the day is long.” A highway was named after him. I’m old and seasoned, I see the sickness in America very clear.

We used to say back home, “Show me a poor politician and I’ll show you an honest one.”

As my Dear Friend Shari Johnson the “Jesus Chick” says, Politics is Satan’s playground.
