Knowing The Word of God

Knowing God’s word is the foundation and beginning of choosing faith over fear. Our knowledge of the Word of God can be a deciding factor in our strength or weakness of our faith. It is knowing what God’s word says that will give you the courage to stretch your faith in trusting God for the impossible.

The Word of God is a light unto our path and a lamp unto your  feet. The Word of God bring faith to your heart and gives you the ability to trust him. When you speak out his word it will strengthen you  and  will build up your faith.

When you commit yourselves to obey God’s word with your actions,  it will give you confidence when you are confronted by fear. The more you step out in faith in obedience to the word of God with a pure heart, then the more your faith grows in the Lord and you are less afraid of the unknown.

Look at Abraham he believed God and it was credited to him as righteous. Abraham put his faith into action when he offered his son Isaac on the alter.

James 2:22 You see that his faith and his actions were working together and his faith was made complete by what he did.

2 Corinthians 5:7 We walk by faith and not by sight

James 2:17 In the same way faith by itself if it is not accompanied by action is dead.

Romans 1:17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith as it is written, the just shall live by faith.

1Peter 1:7 These have come to that your faith of greater worth than gold which perishes even though refined by fire may be proved genuine and may result in praise glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8 Though you have not seen him you love him and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy! 9 for you are receiving the goal of your faith , the salvation of your souls.

Hebrews 10:22 Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith…23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess for he who promised is faithful!

Lord, I know my faith in you will see me through. I realize that the trial of faith is much more precious than gold that perishes though it be tried by fire. My faith will be found unto praise and honor at the appearing of my Lord Jesus Christ.
