I watched this story last night by Steve Hartman on CBS News. Mr. Hartman is a feature story reporter, as we used to call them in the news biz years ago. If you ever watch his reports you can feel his heart for people. I remember his story on his Dad…it made me weep. I still remember the days me and my Dad played catch in the backyard! I did the same with Gretchen and Lars, many wonderful memories. I am blessed to this day to play softball with the guys from Amistad Church. We did not get to play this year because of COVID. I will be 65 next season and I am praying we will be able to play again! I run 3 miles a day (except Sundays) with Daisy to stay in shape and in hope of next year! There is something very, very special about the game of baseball. Many will be able to relate to this story that Mr. Hartman did last night, I surely can…….so very, very special!
