Santa Fe Store Fined $79K For Going Against State Mask Mandate! Gotta Be a Better Way!

I do not agree with the type of control that the Governor has. I wear a mask when I go into a store here in Albuquerque, But to fine a business tons of money over the mask mandate…I don’t agree. The overreach from the Governor is too much. I say again…The Governor is controlling God’s Church here in New Mexico! I never thought I would see this in my lifetime. I am very, very concerned about the freedoms that have been taken way from us in this state. My heart breaks at all the restaurants that have gone out of business and will go out of business as this lockdown continues, so many dreams crushed, so many bankrupted, emotionally shot, so many without a job. I had dear friend come down with COVID and she got very, very sick. I know the situation. My wife and one of our daughters are in harms way everyday at work at their respective health care facilities. There has got to be a way found to open up the state and save the state from further emotional, economic disaster. Where is the balance Governor? It cannot be all your way. A $79,000 fine will shutdown any small business, gotta be a better way. Empathy for all sides. We have got to have our Churches, jobs, livelihood and a economy.

I just got back from my 3 mile run with Daisy…while running God spoke to me as He often does on these runs. I pray that Governor Lujan Grisham will hold a public meeting and hear from all of us, not just the press at her COVID updates! Please hear us Governor, all of us!!! You are to represent us all! Why not on your next COVID update invite ordinary citizens like me to ask you questions about your rulings and plans for our future?

Why not set up a ZOOM Conference with Pastors? and Business owners? Talk to us, please do not dictate and speak down to us, like you have been doing, especially to the residents of Espanola.. We deserve better from an elected official.

KRQE Report On Santa Fe Store Fine

Updated: New Mexico Has the 7th Slowest Recovery for Weekly Unemployment Claims in the U.S.  WalletHub Study:

Despite the fact that the U.S. is still firmly in the grip of the COVID-19 pandemic, new unemployment claims decreased week-over-week on August 24, and were 87% below the peak during the COVID-19 pandemic. To help add some context to these statistics, WalletHub just released updated rankings for the States Whose Weekly Unemployment Claims Are Recovering the Quickest, along with accompanying videos and audio files.

To identify which states’ workforces are experiencing the quickest recovery from COVID-19, WalletHub compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across three metrics based on changes in unemployment claims. Below, you can see highlights from the report, along with a WalletHub Q&A. To see the states most recovered since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, click here.

WalletHub Q&A

How might the Labor Day holiday help or hurt U.S. employment?

“Initially, Labor Day should help U.S. employment because it is a day where retailers typically offer substantial sales. The holiday should lead to a bump in retail purchases, which will put more money in the hands of merchants for future hiring,” said Jill Gonzalez, WalletHub analyst. “As beneficial as Labor Day has the potential to be, it’s also possible for the holiday to hurt unemployment in the long run. If people do not practice social distancing and hold mass gatherings without safety precautions, Labor Day could lead to spikes in COVID-19 that would cause more business shutdowns and therefore more unemployment.”

What measures can we use to detect/trace COVID-19 in the workplace to prevent outbreaks that will lead to more unemployment?

“In order to prevent outbreaks of COVID-19 in the workplace that will lead to more unemployment, we should implement testing upon arrival as well as use apps to perform swift contact tracing for any employees found to have the virus,” said Jill Gonzalez, WalletHub analyst. “The problem with current COVID-19 testing is that in order to preserve accuracy it is expensive and slow. For workplaces and public spaces like airports, we need to have cheap, near-instant tests available for mass testing, even if they are not quite as accurate. Such tests are in development but need FDA approval.”

How will unemployment be impacted if schools only hold remote learning this fall?

“If schools only provide remote learning this fall, we could see a jump in unemployment. Young children will need supervision during the day, and parents who are unable to do their job remotely may be forced to take a leave from work to provide that supervision,” said Jill Gonzalez, WalletHub analyst. “Forcing parents to stay home could be especially devastating financially for single-parent households. To avoid a spike in unemployment, we should create a detailed plan for having in-person learning while providing a high level of safety for students and teachers, which will allow us to minimize negative consequences for both public health and the economy.”

How is the wearing of masks linked to unemployment?

“Wearing masks helps prevent the release of droplets from the mouth or nose that may contain COVID-19, which consequently can help minimize the spread of the virus. Countries with more prevalent mask wearing have been less impacted by coronavirus, so mandating the use of masks in public may help us proceed to a full reopening sooner,” said Jill Gonzalez, WalletHub analyst. “Consumers are more comfortable going out when they know everyone will be wearing masks, according to a recent WalletHub survey, and greater confidence leads to more people leaving the house and supporting businesses again.”

How do red states and blue states compare when it comes to recovery?

“With an average rank of 24 among the most recovered states, blue states had a better recovery from unemployment claims last week than red states, which rank 27 on average,” said Jill Gonzalez, WalletHub analyst. “The lower the number of the ranking, the bigger the state’s recovery was.”

How has unemployment in California – the state with the most COVID-19 cases – recovered?

“California’s unemployment claims have experienced the 6th slowest recovery in the U.S. For the week of August 24, California had 236,874 new unemployment claims, a 78% decrease from the peak during the coronavirus pandemic,” said Jill Gonzalez, WalletHub analyst.

MORE FROM THE FGGAM MEDIA CENTER:

My head just spins at the media. Good journalism is very hard to find anymore. Even Fox news drives me nuts a lot of times. News reporting is scares in the world. It is all about opinions. Watching secular news on TV is like watching newscasts that are all against the President, they are like a bad info commercial promoting liberalism. When news anchors say, “We have a lot more to come on the show tonight!” You can tell the mindset they are in, it’s all about ratings and tearing down the President.

I do my best here at FGGAM to bring a Biblical Worldview. I do not agree at all times with President Trump, I have never agreed fully with any President, but I respect the office. I am a registered Independent as I believe both parties have become so very dysfunctional. The Democrats and Republicans have buried New Mexico. The Republicans had 8 years of Susana Martinez, a disaster who cost the tax payers BIG BUCKS because of monkey business in her administration, especially in the State Police, and now the Democrats have Michelle Lujan Grisham, more of a disaster. (READ BELOW MY THOUGHTS ON GOVERNOR LUJAN GRISHAM AND THE DESTRUCTION OF NEW MEXICO) New Mexico has not had any good leadership since I moved here in 1995, the state is first in most everything bad….and it goes on and on no matter who sits in the Governors seat. The Republicans have a former weatherman running against Democrat stronghold Congressman Ben Ray Lujan! What were the Republican voters thinking!!! They left Pro-Life leader Elisa Martinez at the door, when abortion, to me, is the number one issue in this state, a state of death, as New Mexico kills God’s babies almost everyday through abortion. God will not fully bless New Mexico and America until we end abortion! Don’t be fooled!

President Trump stands for Law and Order. We have Democrat Governors and Mayors who coddle thugs! I watched President Trump’s visit to Kenosha yesterday, he is not messing around, he is addressing this critical issue of law and order. He came to help the community, like any leader should, but many wimps slammed him for coming. The President brought  Attorney General Bill Barr, they mean business. President Trump is providing Federal Funds to rebuild Kenosha.

When President Trump announced he was sending Federal Agents to Albuquerque to fight all the violence in this area, he was attacked by the Mayor and Governor, and all the Democrats. Bernalillo County Sheriff Manny Gonzales went to Washington to meet with President Trump and he was attacked by his own party! THE DEMOCRATS!!!!! Sheriff Manny said he would work with anyone that could help the County! He crossed party lines and was attacked. Manny is my kind of leader in many ways. Albuquerque is a mess, crime is out of control, has been for years. Sheriff Manny has reported that ‘Operation Legend’ started by President Trump, is working!

I never thought I would we the day that Mayors and Governors would fight a President that wanted to help bring law and order to America! Shameful! These Mayors and Governors are allowing the thugs to rule and destroy! Portland and Seattle are worse than a third world country as is Chicago. Many think Albuquerque has become the same, Sheriff Manny has been told that by many.

We are in real trouble when people think it is okay to kill, burn down buildings…..to let thugs occupy a section of a city! it makes me sick!

Now the Democrat Mayor of Albuquerque is asking President Trump for help, see below!

PRAY FOR ALL LAW ENFORCEMENT TEAM JESUS!

This is happening in cities that have Democrats for Mayor.

At FBC in Reserve, NM where I serve, we were talking about how much we are thankful for Governor Noem! I pray that she runs for President someday. New Mexico needs a leader like Governor Noem, in fact every state and town in America needs her type of leadership! Amen! New Mexico lacks so very much. The American people need more leaders like Governor Noem. My friends in South Dakota love her so very much, the people of South Dakota even held a parade for her. Has your state held a parade for you Governor?

Today, the rule of law is under attack in America. In cities across the country, violent mobs are running rampant. They’re looting, rioting, and destroying property, businesses, and – in some cases – people’s dreams. Murder rates are up by double digits in 13 of our nation’s 15 largest cities. Many citizens are fleeing – what parent wants to raise their children in these violent situations?

For those of us in positions of leadership, it is our duty to respond and to protect our people. After all, violent, lawless mobs are emboldened when good men and women stand by and do nothing. Unfortunately, in too many places, that’s exactly what’s happening. In fact, some leaders have tried to walk with the mob, proudly “standing with them.” Unsurprisingly, the mob had no appetite for the political posturing and turned them away.
This past week, I denounced the violence in these cities. The Mayor of Seattle, Jenny Durkan, didn’t appreciate the spotlight it shown on her city. Durkan took to MSNBC to say that I’m “not only wrong,” but “purposefully wrong.” Though the rhetoric sounds nice, the facts dispute it. Seattle’s murder rate has increased 44% this year. Some of that increase is directly attributable to the Capitol Hill area of her downtown that became an “autonomous zone,” with barricades erected and signs stating, “You are now leaving the USA.” Durkan seems to have forgotten that rioters in this area (called both CHOP and CHAZ) terrorized residents, demanded tribute from business owners, and generated frequent shootings.
It is the duty of leaders like Durkan to protect their people from such violence. But instead of allowing her police department to do that, Durkan proposed slashing her police department’s budget and freezing new hires. Similar stories are playing out in cities nationwide. Leaders, afraid of backlash from the mob, turn their ire on the very law enforcement officers trying to keep us safe.
The media is making the problem worse. They repeatedly refer to violent rioters as “peaceful protesters,” giving cover to the mob. Earlier this week, as Kenosha burned on camera for all to see, CNN referred to the riots there as a “fiery but mostly peaceful protest.” Last night, one block from the White House, Senator Rand Paul was violently attacked by rioters – even having a bike thrown at him. He was protected by law enforcement, because – again, unsurprisingly – they continue to do their job.
It doesn’t have to be this way, especially not in the United States of America. To those tired of living in these cities, if you want a better home to raise your children, grow your business, and live your life in peace, I encourage you to come to South Dakota. Here, we respect freedom. We breathe fresh air. And we love our country.

Yes, Jesus is not Politically Correct! I walk with no political party, I walk with JESUS! AMEN!

The Governor continues to rule over our everyday lives, so many of our freedoms are gone. When will they come back? I am still in shock that a Governor can rule over God’s Church!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Governor has destroyed much of our economy. So many ‘so called leaders’ are silent! The New Mexico Republican Party seems to me so very weak in this time of our freedoms being taken away, this is the worst disaster in my lifetime, and all I hear is crickets from the New Mexico GOP. There are a few that have spoken out, some lawsuits but this destruction continues. Lives and dreams are being destroyed as I type this….

Just think, we live in a time where the Democratic Governor rules over GOD’S CHURCHES!!! I thank Pastor Steve Smothermon for pushing ahead with the lawsuit against the Governor. She rules over our children, our schools, our shopping, our restaurant folks, many family owned restaurants have closed and will close. She rules over visits to our loved ones in Hospitals and Nursing homes, she rules over our parks, no baseball, softball, football…etc… She is telling us to stay home Labor Day Weekend, what will happen with Thanksgiving? Christmas? Will she try to rule over Jesus’ Birthday?

I have not talked to one Republican in the last several months, NOT ONE that is happy with the leadership of the NM GOP. Whatever strategy the NM GOP is using it is not working. I would have my dear friend Couy Griffin give a call to President Trump and ask for urgent help. I would invite President Trump to New Mexico and force a meeting with the President and the Governor. I can see some shaking their heads, “That crazy Moede” that is okay, I am not her to please people, I am here to serve God and His people. I beleive President Trump would love to have the meeting. It is about time the Governor is called out!

I am weeping inside as I type this….23,000 New Mexico Restaurant workers are unemployed. I thank KOB TV for this report.

Carol Wight, CEO of the New Mexico Restaurant Association: “We just came out with the August numbers for the state and accommodation and food services has lost $382 million and that’s gross receipts by the entire industry and that’s just devastating—that’s a 31 percent loss.” KOB TV REPORT

HOW OUT OF CONTROL IS THE GOVERNOR:

House GOP Leadership calls out Governor for retaliatory eviction of PRC

Santa Fe, NM – House Republican Leadership recently questioned the Lujan Grisham administration about their forced eviction of the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission (PRC), and why the relocation of the PRC has not been resolved.

In March 2020, following the Governor’s attempted takeover to control the PRC (HB 11), the Lujan Grisham administration gave notice that the PRC would need to vacate their offices, located in the historic PERA office building. The Governor’s administration did not provide alternative locations, and additionally the forced government shutdown impeded the PRC finding a new office location. In the meantime, the PRC has been forced to work remotely, without an office location that they can return to. The state’s Government Services Division has changed the locks on the office and not provided access to PRC employees for equipment or other business needs.

House Republican Leaders blasted the Governor in their letter: “We are writing to express our frustration with your administration’s unwillingness or inability to locate appropriate office space for the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission (PRC). The failure to provide this constitutionally established entity with a proper location to conduct its statutory responsibilities is, frankly, incomprehensible.”

Office eviction leaves PRC homeless, without funds

From the writings of the Rev. Billy Graham IS THERE HOPE FOR OUR NATION?

Q: Is there hope for our nation — and world — for a better tomorrow and if so who should we turn to in order to find the solution our problems? — B.T.

A: Political parties, social improvements, education, world peace conferences — all of these are viewed as answers to the world’s problems, but they have all fallen short.

Why? Because mankind has fallen short of God’s standard. We have fallen short to do His will. To live in obedience to His Word as communicated in the Bible we are told: “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).

This verse has been quoted so much that many miss its meaning. God’s people are those who have repented of sin and accepted Him as Savior and Lord of their lives.

A U.S. congressman once declared, “Most of our present-day troubles are due to the fact that we’ve forgotten the faith of our fathers and no longer do we, as a nation, follow in the footsteps of the Lord.”

The psalmist cried out and said, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord” (Psalm 33:12). This applies to the United States and any other nation who will turn to the Lord God of Heaven.

America cannot organize her way out, nor buy her way out. America must pray her way out. Who can bring us to our knees in contrition? It is the Man called the Lord Jesus Christ. Will we as individuals, and as a nation, humble ourselves before Him and submit to His perfect will? This is the only hope for America and for the world.
