The Governor with her COVID Lockdown reminds me of the story we used to tell when I served as a fireman in Osceola, Indiana. “We didn’t save the house, but we saved the basement.” At this point here in New Mexico the house is burning down to the foundation and the basement is full water, or if you will, RED INK! Severe mismanagement.

The NMDOH reports 27,350 cases out of a population of approx 2,100,000 (about 1.3% NM residents affected). NMDOH reports 841 deaths (.04% of the NM population). We have reached the goals set by the governor, but we still are locked down.

From Frank Haley of KDAZ NEWS: New Mexico has depleted its unemployment benefits trust fund and begun to use federal loans to keep up with claims. Workforce Solutions Secretary Bill McCamley told a panel of state legislators   Tuesday that unemployment trust reserves were exhausted on Sept. 8 and that the state has spent about $35 million in borrowed federal funds on claims. The federal loans if left unpaid can eventually trigger tax increases.  New Mexico’s unemployment rate of 11.4% in August exceeds neighboring states as health officials take gradual steps toward reopening the economy and schools. About 123,000 people statewide are receiving unemployment benefits.

ALBUQUERQUE   — The state’s latest revenue report shows state lawmakers could be grappling with a $1.1 billion deficit heading into the next legislative session. That massive cash crunch could make legalizing recreational marijuana an appealing option to make the state millions of dollars in tax revenue.
During a virtual committee meeting Tuesday afternoon, lawmakers got an update on what legalizing, regulating and taxing recreational pot could do for the state’s struggling economy.
Legalization bills have failed time and time again at the Roundhouse, most recently during the last legislative session.

Just plain horrible! The COVID lockdown is destroying New Mexico day by day…….I think I am living in the twilight zone! My head is spinning at this destruction. God shows me everyday what is going on, it is causing me great sadness as I report the news everyday and counsel many with anxiety.  I traveled over to the east side of Albuquerque last week and I was so sad to see business after business shuttered, many more than the last time I crossed over the river. The Governor of New Mexico even rules over the Church! WE ARE STILL AT 40%!!! Why did we allow that????? I cannot beleive that either! Very disgusting on the state of affairs here. At this same time, that hits me the hardest ABORTIONS CONTINUE IN THIS STATE! What happened Church? It is very foolish to think God can fully bless this state when we continue kill HIS babies here in New Mexico!!! SHAME! I am not a politician, I try to be the best man of God I can! When this COVID shutdown started I could not get a haircut, but ABORTIONS CONTINUED HERE IN NEW MEXICO! SHAME! I was asked last Sunday in Church as I preached, “How does God put up with us?” I said God has way more patients than me, I would reject us for the murdering of His babies. We all have the blood of all the babies on our hands. But for sure, New Mexico will hold more ‘high school pep rallies’ and think we are good to go.

Now the Unemployment fund for the state is busted, more than 22,000 restaurant workers  have lost their jobs during the COVID shutdown, last report I saw was over 210 restaurants have closed for good and many, many more businesses.

This is not a political issue is it a GOD issue, a heart for JESUS issue, Spiritual Warfare. Satan is having his way with so many in this state and nation. So many souls have been lost to Satan.

New Mexico now borrowing from feds to pay state unemployment benefits

We get into serious trouble when we do not have the minds of Christ…… When we are not grounded in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Too much of the world struggles with the “natural mind” The thinking process that is limited to human reason and resources. Human history shows that the natural mind becomes progressively self-destructive if left to it’s own desires. People who are directed by their natural minds walk in darkness and have incorrect thinking.
“So I tell you this, in the futility of their thinking. They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts.” Eph 4:17,18
The Word of God calls the mind of a natural man “blinded” 2 Cor. 4:4 “depraved” Romans 1:28, “corrupt” 1 Tim 6:5, and “unspiritual” Col. 2:18. The natural mind thinks from a humanistic  sin-debased viewpoint. The viewpoint of the flesh directs it’s thoughts. The sinful mind is under control of Satan.

Great message here by Billy Graham……..I have been saying for years that we need MATURE CHRISTIANS, we are suffering much because we do not help people in grow in love with Jesus. One reason is that many see too much hate in Christians and do not go to Church. Love like Jesus. Live that so people see Jesus in you and not Hollywood!

What If Abraham Lincoln Was Correct?

 

In the Declaration of Independence Thomas Jefferson wrote, “WE hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness . . . “  We’re very familiar with these words. But what words immediately follow those three rights deeply branded into our memories? Jefferson and the signers of the Declaration of Independence state as if quoting Romans 13, “ . . . That to secure these Rights, Governments are instituted among Men, . . . “

 

The basic faith statement of the American Republic is that a Creator exists and that the Creator gave each individual the Right to Life, the Right to Liberty, and the Right to Pursue Happiness. It is clear the American Founders believed that the primary responsibility of government is to secure for the individual that which came from the hand of their creator, The Right to Life, the Right Liberty and the Right to Pursue Happiness.  No government on Earth could ever separate a human from those rights that God has given. A government may take ones life, ones liberty and impede ones pursuit of happiness. But a government can never take away the right of those endowments. Those rights are grounded in Eternity and out of reach of any human institution, especially the government.

 

If at any time these three primary rights seem to be in conflict with each other it is then important to notice the sequence in which they occur in the Declaration. We know too well the sequence of their appearance, “Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness.”  Notice that Right to Pursuit of Happiness is last and the Right to Life is first. These are in logical order. Think it through for yourself. Is it not difficult to pursue happiness if you are not free?  Yes, but, it is impossible for you to be free if you are not alive. The right above all rights, is the right to life!

 

Abraham Lincoln practiced this order of priority in his support of the abolition of slavery. Lincoln held that the slaveholders desire to pursue happiness by owning humans could not supersede the foundational right of all rights, the slaves’ God-given right to be free. It is therefore also true that the right to life is superior to the right liberty.

 

Lincoln accepted this self-evident truth in a serious way. In his second inaugural address Lincoln said, “ . . . He gives to both North and South this terrible war as the woe due to those by whom the offense came, shall we discern therein any departure from those divine attributes which the believers in a living God always ascribe to Him? Fondly do we hope, fervently do we pray, that this mighty scourge of war may speedily pass away. Yet, if God wills that it continue until all the wealth piled by the bondsman’s two hundred and fifty years of unrequited toil shall be sunk, and until every drop of blood drawn with the lash shall be paid by another drawn with the sword, as was said three thousand years ago, so still it must be said “the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.”

 

The word sunk used by Abraham Lincoln was a 19th-century accounting term that meant that the books were balanced. The volume of blood lost due to slavery would be the same volume of blood shed in the Civil War, and it was. The Civil War is the bloodiest war America ever fought.

 

So, here’s the question to you and me my friend.  If Abraham Lincoln was correct and that the Civil War was God’s judgment on America for the sin of slavery, which is only a violation of the right to liberty, how much more severe will God’s judgment to be on America for a violation of the sin against the right to life?  The tragedy of slavery in American’s history is sad.  Yet, the slaughter by abortion, of more than 62 million unborn American babies dwarfs the bloodshed that resulted from American slavery.

 

Abraham Lincoln is known as the “Theologian of American Anguish.” The challenge of preserving the union and ending slavery simultaneously weighed heavy on his shoulders and in his heart.

 

Just as the sin of slavery divided nation in the 19th-century, the sin of abortion has divided our nation in the 20th and the 21st-century.  Lincoln knew that “A house divided against itself cannot stand.” He also knew that God does not stay His hand of judgment forever.

 

Please ponder this my friends for just one moment. If what Abraham Lincoln said is correct, and I believe it is, that the American Civil War was God’s judgment on America for a violation of the right to liberty, what will God’s judgment on America be for a violation of the right to life if there is no national repentance?

 

There were Christians who supported slavery. There were Christians who opposed slavery and worked to end it. There were Christians who were silent while the drops of blood let by the abortion knife flowed. But what about me and you today? As Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who suffered and died in a Nazi concentration camp stated so truly,  “Silence in the face of evil, is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”

 

If Lincoln was correct, America must repent or America will pay a penalty, “for His judgment does not sleep nor does it slumber.”

 

It’s past time to speak and act on behalf of those who do not have a voice.

At this second appearing to take the oath of the Presidential office there is less occasion for an extended address than there was at the first. Then a statement somewhat in detail of a course to be pursued seemed fitting and proper. Now, at the expiration of four years, during which public declarations have been constantly called forth on every point and phase of this great conflict which is of primary concern to the nation as a whole, little that is new could be presented. The progress of our arms, upon which all else chiefly depends, is as well known to the public as to myself, and it is, I trust, reasonably satisfactory and encouraging to all. With high hope for the future, no prediction in regard to it is ventured.

On the occasion corresponding to this four years ago all thoughts were anxiously directed to an impending civil war. All dreaded it, all sought to avert it. While the inaugural address was being delivered from this place, devoted altogether to saving the Union without war, insurgent agents were in the city seeking to destroy it without war—seeking to dissolve the Union and divide effects by negotiation. Both parties deprecated war, but one of them would make war rather than let the nation survive, and the other would accept war rather than let it perish. And the war came.

One-eighth of the whole population were colored slaves, not distributed generally over the Union, but localized in the southern part of it. These slaves constituted a peculiar and powerful interest. All knew that this interest was somehow the cause of the war. To strengthen, perpetuate, and extend this interest was the object for which the insurgents would rend the Union even by war, while the Government claimed no right to do more than to restrict the territorial enlargement of it. Neither party expected for the war the magnitude or the duration which it has already attained. Neither anticipated that the cause of the conflict might cease with or even before the conflict itself should cease. Each looked for an easier triumph, and a result less fundamental and astounding. Both read the same Bible and pray to the same God, and each invokes His aid against the other. It may seem strange that any men should dare to ask a just God’s assistance in wringing their bread from the sweat of other men’s faces, but let us judge not, that we be not judged. The prayers of both could not be answered. That of neither has been answered fully. These comments made by the Governor of New Mexico make me weep for God’s babies…I get sick to my stomach when I hear and see things like this. Every person is precious to God. America has been at war with God for years by killing His babies.

The Albuquerque Journal reports: Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, recently told attendees at a Planned Parenthood event that a long-dormant state abortion ban will be “GONE” as soon as there are enough votes in the Senate to pass a repeal measure.

That word ‘gone’ gets to me…like picturing a baby being aborted..its gone…is that how we talk about the sacred right to live? I was blessed to preside over the Memorial Service for the babies aborted in New Mexico in 2019….over 5,000. Albuquerque Right to Life invited me to speak and pray at Mt. Calvary. I was ill 4 days before and days after, it affected me so very much spiritually. Think of this: It was a funeral for over 5,000 people!

I try so hard to do what I do in the love of Jesus. So many times my heart gets broke by the news I am reporting, but people need to know the TRUTH. America is ‘Hitler Like’. We say, “God Bless America”…do we even mean that?, or do we just say it?? We should be saying, “America, Bless God!” God blessed us years and years ago by forming America, we are the ones who have turned our backs on God by killing His babies.

The Battle of the Mind

2 Corinthians 10:3-5

Do you understand how Satan works to bring down believers? Although we may think of his attacks as external, the real battleground is in the realm of ideas. If he can get a church to believe erroneous doctrines, unbiblical philosophies, and false assumptions about God, he can lead it away from the truth and into error.

And the Enemy uses this same tactic on individual Christians as well. The battlefield is our mind, not our circumstances. As the Father of Lies, he knows that deception is an effective tactic. His goal is to influence our thoughts because how we think determines our attitudes, emotions, desires, and actions. Therefore, he seeks to twist our thoughts in order to gain a foothold and wreak havoc in all areas.

Any thought that is contrary to God’s Word needs to be taken “captive to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5). And Jesus showed us how: Every time Satan threw a temptation at Him, He answered it with an appropriate Scripture (Matt. 4:1-11). However, we can’t simply wave our Bible in the air, hoping to scare the devil away. To effectively defeat his lies, we need a good working knowledge of God’s Word so that we can fight deception with truth, whatever the situation might be.

For instance, if you struggle with fear and anxiety, cling to verses that affirm God’s trustworthiness and care. If envy is the problem, the answer is Christ’s sufficiency for your life. As you fill your mind with God’s Word, Satan’s lies will become easier to identify, and your attitudes, emotions, desires, and behaviors will align with truth.
