A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another:
just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.
By this all people will know that you are my disciples,
if you have love for one another.
I thank God for His calling to become a Pastor! It is such a blessing to help bring peace, comfort and the love of Jesus to families during the passing of a loved one. Today I presided over the funeral and grave yard service of 94 year old Ruthe Oselio. Ruthe spent 40 years in nursing! She gave her life to serving others. Her life preaches servant hood! I learn so much about God and people by serving Him.
Ruthe’s service meant a bit extra to me as my Mom’s name is Ruth. I shared about that and Ruth of the Bible. Many people do not have a Church home, that is when the funeral homes will call me, a family in need that wants a Christian service. As I shared above Ruthe was a nurse, as is my wife Sharon and daughter Gretchen. Many have become disconnected with the Church. God has called me to share His peace, comfort and love with folks. Many have been hurt by people in the Church. God has called us to love each other. God has placed me at times in Churches that have or are going through a split. He shows me what to do. I do not have all the answers, but God does. Live a life so that people see JESUS in you! The love of JESUS! AMEN!
