Pray without ceasing

God Bless you Sister Connie Keyohara for your wonderful message to us today! God Bless you and yours!

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:”

John 10:27

I had a dream that I walked into my house and my dad was seated on the sofa. He started to stand up to talk to me and hug me, and I was in a hurry. I passed him by.

In my dream I went into the kitchen, spoke to my mom, took care of business, (I don’t remember what I was doing there) I turned around and again, I left hurriedly.

On the way out, my dad stood up as to walk towards me, but I was in such a hurry, that I left.

As I looked back I could see the sadness on his face and in my dream I knew it was because he missed me and wanted to spend some time with me, but I was too busy, I had no time and I ran out.

When My dream was over. I woke up very saddened, because obviously I would never treat my father that way.

The Lord showed me in my heart that this is the way I treat him sometimes. I was crushed!

God longs for time with us, he longs to talk to us.

He wants so spend personal time with us, but we tend to be so busy and hurried throughout the day that sometimes we don’t make time to visit with him.

Prayer has a special meaning if we are God’s children. We can talk with God as a child does with their father.

When Our Father taught his disciples to pray, he said:

“When you pray, say: ‘Our Father in heaven,  hollowed be your name.”

Matthew 6:9

We need to know that prayer is the most important time we can spend with God.

When our desires and our will is aligned with God’s will, amazing things begin to happen!

But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you

Matthew 6:6

Jesus is the mediator between Us and God. It’s important to keep that dialogue open with him.

But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed with words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will

 Romans 8:26-27

Satan would like us to believe that God is harsh, and if we’ve sinned he is to be feared and we can’t approach him.
But nothing could be further from the truth! Satan is a liar and no truth is found in him. Ignore him.

Talk to God through prayer and listen to him through his Word. His Holy Scripture.

Many Blessings,

Connie
