I continue to pray and shake my head at all that is happening all around me. You can see by this post Representative Jim Townsend was still working at 1am today, Jim also shared that the precious community of Pie Town has been hit by the Governors shut down, the historic Pie-O-Neer Pies is closing. Pie Town is part of Catron County, my favorite country in the state! I have had the pies from Pie-O-Neer Pies…..it has been a tourist attraction for the village of Pie Town. We also have a Mandatory Vaccination Update from Rep. Gregg Schmedes.

I am so sadden what is happening in America….so much horrific emotions being cut loose, no logic, no Biblical Principles be exhibited by many, because most of our country does not go to Church anymore, only 21% of America goes every Sunday. We as every country have our good and bad history, but I was taught at home and school to learn the good and bad. I was taught how God founded America, I was taught all about our Founding Father’s. I beleive our good outweighs our bad, but now we are going more and more to the bad side, we are torn apart and such evil things are happening as Satan has his way with many. If we don’t have God, we have nothing. Yesterday I was so very sad about the George Washington statue being torn down in Portland and the statue of Minnesota Towns Founder Calvin Griffith being removed from Target Field in Minneapolis, a city that is a mess. All emotions, no logic, no Biblical Principles.

I am so excited to preach on Father’s Day at FBC in Reserve on Father’s Day! I will be preaching on “Dad and Family” One of the reasons I love to preach, is because I want children to have a family like mine, a growing up like mine, that is my passion in this divided world, as Satan is having his way with the America family unit in so many cases!

AMERICA! BLESS GOD!!! GOD HAS BLESSED US!!! WE ARE NOT BLESSING GOD!!! AMEN!!!

MANDATORY VACCINATION UPDATE: New Mexico government currently has the power to force vaccination or else place you on house arrest. My bill, House Bill 11, will remove this power and protect New Mexicans from forced vaccination. Please call the governor at (505) 476-2200 and ask her to put HB 11 “on the call” so we can get this law passed.

Jim Townsend

This is so horrible and it is happening everyday all over New Mexico and our Governor apparently just doesn’t care. Small businesses every where are closing, jobs are being lost and here we are debating bills in a special session that skirts the issues that hurts New Mexicans NOW! People this is ridiculous! There is absolutely no real reason why this Pie Shop has remained closed. There is a reason they say Santa Fe is 40 square miles surrounded by reality!! The Governor should try a getting out of town and see the pain across or State and to bad she hadn’t tried a pie, I have and I’ll miss them.Pie Town Pie Shop Closes For Good

House GOP calls out smoke and mirrors budget

Santa Fe- This evening the New Mexico House of Representatives passed House Bill 1 on a party line vote of 46 – 24. House Republicans voted no on the measure because this budget does not address the government spending increases over the past two years and will lead to tax increases and a bleak budget outlook for New Mexicans.

For the past several months, House Republicans have called upon the Governor and Speaker of the House to seriously address the budget crisis and the looming deficits as the state moves forward post-COVID. The current spending plans do little to mitigate the severe loss of revenue the state will face as we all move forward and begin to rebuild the economy.

“Smoke and mirrors budgeting will compound the negative outlook in our state’s budget,” said House Republican Whip Rod Montoya. “Protecting lawmakers from making these tough decisions- that all New Mexicans are having to make by the way- will force the legislature to impose massive tax increases next year on people who are still lucky enough to have a job.”

We are so very blessed with many writers for God all over America! Betty Fritz from Elkhart, Indiana posted this today:

I assume many Americans, like me, heard the word ‘Juneteenth’ for the first time just recently when President Trump planned a rally in Oklahoma for June 19th.  When the African American holiday, Juneteenth, was pointed out to him, our President changed the date for his rally to the 20th of June.  Did anybody point out this act of respect?  No, but they pointed out the fact that our President was not aware of the holiday, or why it supposedly is celebrated.  Truth is, very few seem to know about it.

I personally never heard of the holiday which was declared in Texas in 1980.  I was born in Texas and living there in 1980…but I had never heard of Juneteenth.  I wondered why and looked it up.  It seems that June 19th, 1865 was the day that slaves in Texas got the news that they were free…though it had actually happened in 1863 when the Civil War ended.  My immediate family moved to Indiana in 1990 and as far as I know there was no further recognition made concerning this holiday, nor was it celebrated in Texas that I was aware of.

It took two years for the news of freedom for the black people to reach the state of Texas.  It took maybe two minutes after the President failed to recognize the date for the news of this to reach the entire world… thanks to technology and the internet.  The internet has been around for years now, so why haven’t we heard more about Juneteenth?

Cinco De Mayo is celebrated for our Mexican population.  We have Black History Month, but why not Juneteenth?  We have many calling for making Juneteenth a national holiday. Perhaps this would work best as a day for all Americans to celebrate alongside each other.  Maybe the holiday has not been pushed before simply because the majority of black people are not interested in always being reminded of a history so bleak and simply thankful to be living in the USA enjoying their freedom along with the rest of us.  Maybe racism isn’t as prevalent as some would like us to believe it is.  Maybe most of us do accept each other in spite of our color…we all have a color…and could be happy living together if not for the evil minds of some who love to stir up controversy.

At the time Jesus appeared on earth, it had been 400 years since God had communicated directly with His people.  When He told the disciples to go into all the world and tell the good news of His death and resurrection that leads to salvation He knew it would be a tremendous task.  Every believer is given this same instruction and it has become known as ‘The great Commission.’

I remember decades ago when Oral Roberts, a well-known televangelist and founder of the Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, set a deadline for his Christian followers to complete the Great Commission by the year 2000.  Some claimed the goal was met and today the good news of God’s love is available around the world…but that doesn’t mean that all have easy access to it or that ALL have heard it.  We all know that many have rejected it… and that’s why we are where we find ourselves today…in a world of fear and uncertainty.

After years of being told to, “take care of yourself first,” and decades of greed, many even within the church, have overlooked the command to go into all the world.  In fact, many fail to accept Jesus because of the fear of being sent to a foreign country or asked to do something they feel unable to do.  As Jesus taught His disciples during the three years of His ministry, the church needs to teach it’s members and encourage them to share the stories of their own salvation and tell others. We must be witnesses for Christ.  Along with salvation should come the desire to share. The words to an old gospel song comes to mind:

I said I wouldn’t tell it to a living soul, how He brought salvation and He made me whole.

But I found I couldn’t hide such love as Jesus did impart

It makes me laugh and it makes me cry, sets my sinful soul on fire

When God dips His love, in my heart!

May God dip His love in the hearts of those in charge of calming racial tensions in our country right now and may the love of God spread like internet news across the world.  Amen

I love this picture of Pastor Richard Mansfield and his lovey angel wife Cindy! Pastor Richard is going to lead us in prayer at this time……….
Richard A Mansfield

Heavenly Father, we come before You thanking You that You are still on the throne in spite of what we see throughout the streets of our nation. Pour out Your Holy Spirit over our President, our Congress, our Supreme Court, our Governor, our Mayor, our Leaders, our Pastors, our Law Enforcement Officers and our Citizens as we walk through this broken time and misunderstood time of our nation, states and communities. Help us to understand one another and stand for righteousness sake. Help us to love one another and reach out to one another in love and understanding. Strengthen us to be the light to a dark and lost world. I pray in Jesus name, Amen ????????

Psalms‬ ‭11:1-7 “I trust in the Lord for protection. So why do you say to me, “Fly like a bird to the mountains for safety! The wicked are stringing their bows and fitting their arrows on the bowstrings. They shoot from the shadows at those whose hearts are right. The foundations of law and order have collapsed. What can the righteous do?” But the Lord is in his holy Temple; the Lord still rules from heaven. He watches everyone closely, examining every person on earth. The Lord examines both the righteous and the wicked. He hates those who love violence. He will rain down blazing coals and burning sulfur on the wicked, punishing them with scorching winds. For the righteous Lord loves justice. The virtuous will see his face.

With states opening up and the national unemployment rate now at 13.3% compared to the nearly historic high of 14.7% at the peak of the coronavirus pandemic, WalletHub today released its report on the States Whose Unemployment Rates Are Bouncing Back Most, along with accompanying videos and audio files, to illustrate which areas of the country have had the best recovery so far.

WalletHub Q&A

How will a decrease in summer travel affect unemployment?

“A decrease in summer travel due to COVID-19 will keep the rate of unemployment in the travel and tourism industries high compared to other sectors, as they will receive a much smaller inflow of cash than normal and consequently will have reduced hiring power until we proceed to a full reopening,” said Jill Gonzalez, WalletHub analyst. “Reduced summer travel could be a good thing for local merchants in places that aren’t tourist hubs, as people’s ‘staycations’ could inject more money into the local economy and help businesses hire more, or at least stay afloat. Cities that are popular vacation destinations will get less traffic from outsiders but may see more visits to attractions from locals who know there will be fewer tourists.”

What can states do to support people who are unemployed, other than provide traditional benefits?

“Aside from financial assistance, the best way for states to support unemployed residents is to facilitate a safe reopening that allows businesses to start rehiring. States should prioritize reopening places that help unemployed people get back to work, such as libraries with free Wi-Fi where they can conduct job searches and childcare programs that allow parents to go to work,” said Jill Gonzalez, WalletHub analyst. “Safety should be the number one concern in any state’s reopening process, so a big part of getting people back to work is requiring face masks in public and other restrictive measures to prevent a resurgence of COVID-19.”

Which state has experienced the biggest increase in unemployment vs. the beginning of the year?

“Hawaii has experienced the biggest increase in unemployment because the number of unemployed persons jumped by 629% from January 2020 to May, compared to the average increase of 203%,” said Jill Gonzalez, WalletHub analyst. “Hawaii’s overall unemployment rate is 22.5%, compared to the average of 13.3%.”

Where in the U.S. has experienced the smallest increase in unemployment vs. the beginning of the year?

“District of Columbia has experienced the smallest increase in unemployment because it has seen a 56% rise in the number of unemployed persons from January 2020 to May, compared to the average increase of 203%,” said Jill Gonzalez, WalletHub analyst. “District of Columbia’s overall unemployment rate is 8.5%, compared to the average of 13.3%.”
