Turn The Switch To On…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. As I sat on my couch this morning drinking my morning coffee thinking about what I would write about, my attention was drawn to a bird cage my daughter had gifted me. For some reason it was highlighted to me as I watched the sun shine through my living room window. Inside the cage a battery operated candle that lights up the cage and the room, beams forth with a quick turn of a switch. It doesn’t even matter that the door to the cage is closed, the light shines right on through.
Isn’t that like the light of Christ that dwells within us? Even though we are all at home, quaratined due to the Covid-19, it’s a great time to let our lights shine in creative ways. Many folks have been impacted in business, job loss, and feelings of fear and panic have set in. God’s Word tells us all things work together for good for those that love and serve the Lord and are called to his purpose. Let’s all turn the switch on this morning and let the light of Christ shine right on through our closed doors. Even during this pandemic, we are free. Good is still on his throne and the light of Christ shines brightly. Amen? Amen.
Let’s Pray:
Father, as we obey the laws that have been put in place, our freedom comes from living as a follower of Jesus Christ. Your life purpose for us is where we stay focused. Our freedom is based on our relationship with you, not on our circumstances.
Father, your Word tells us in John 8:36 Whom the son set’s free is free indeed. We are free because of Jesus. Our days, our lives were predestined for us before they ever began. That alone sets us free.
Father, may many all across this globe today turn the switch to on and believe the Word of God. May the scales come off eyes all across this globe that the god of this age has blinded them so they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. (2 Corinthians 4:4) Amen.
