With a very heavy, heavy heart I wanted you to know that a great man of God has left this earth. With a very happy heart I report that Pastor Glen is with JESUS! Pastor Glen passed away into the arms of Jesus yesterday afternoon. Glen had brain cancer, but is now healed. I, like so very many will miss this giant man of faith. Glen’s heart was bigger than most. His love was never ending. He treasured all people. He spoke the truth in love.

His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You were faithful over a few things; I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your master!’ Matthew 25:23

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5:4

I was blessed to see him two times in recent months and was able to talk and text with him many times. I wanted him to know how much impacted my life. Glen made everybody a better person. He was such a mentor of mine on how to live for JESUS.

I first met Glen several years ago at the ‘Time to Revive’ Revival in Santa Fe. The Revival took place in Sept. of 2008 in the Santa Fe Convention Center, the first event held there I believe! That is where my friendship with Glen began. He was on my radio and TV program through the years. Glen was always so gracious.

Two of my favorite memories of Glen is his testimony at the ‘Time to Revive’ Press Conference that touched the lives of so very many. We broadcasted it live on KKIM and then we he did a live report on KKIM from Washington D.C. during the National Day of Prayer one year!

Please keep Alida and the kids and all the folks at Pecos Cowboy Church in your prayers. We love them all so very much!

I asked Birga Alden of Faith Comes by Hearing, to write a few words about our Dear Brother Glen….

Glen was an extraordinary man of vision and faith. My husband and I met him during the 2000/2001 school year, when we all taught at a small private school in Santa Fe.  This gentle man demonstrated love of God, love of his students, and a love of artistic expression.
I have so many things to share about Glen, and I will take the time to compile my thoughts over the coming days.  But for now, I will share the last text I got from him:
“His strong arms are around us when we are in over our heads. His mercy endures forever. Believe it to receive it.  This is the day the Lord has made, be glad and rejoice in it!!”
Roberta Cheek Director of Care Net in Santa Fe, writes:
Hard to know where to start Dewey. I’m so sad. Glen was a friend and a mentor. I inherited Care Net from Glen and the original pioneers who saw a need for a pregnancy center. There was never a time I was with Glen in person or the phone that he didn’t stop and say “Let’s Pray”. Never have I known in 49 years of being a Christian anyone who prayed more and taught the power of prayer like my friend Glen. Hundreds of babies have been saved because of the foundation Glen set with Care Net. I’m comforted knowing I will see him when Jesus returns. For now I grieve immensely.
From Kyle Matrin CEO/Founder of Time to Revive in Dallas, Texas:
Pastor Glen was the real deal for Jesus. His smile and cowboy hat were contagious. And yet, it was his genuine love for the Lord and for others, that drew people to Christ. My mom described him as having a “let’s go!” spirit.  Isn’t that the truth?!?  He was a true cowboy for the Lord that didn’t hold back.

But something that remains etched in my heart and mind still to this day is when Glen and I sat down on a curb in Santa Fe in 2008.  He took time, looked me in my eyes when I first started out in ministry, and demonstrated to me how to care and love for one another.  At the same time, he modeled how we must not compromise the Truth because it is the Truth that transforms lives.  I am forever grateful for Glen’s impact on my life.
