Bill Wilson: State of the Union Rip

What ever happened to the America I grew up in where we could agree to disagree without getting mean about it?  Remember how President Reagan, a Republican and Speaker of the House, Tip O’Neill, a Democrat, would get along and get the peoples business taken care of even when then would disagree on issues?

Last night watching the State of the Union speech by President Trump, very inspiring, then to see Speaker Pelosi rip up the speech made me very sad. Right away I thought of President Reagan and Speaker Tip O’Neill on how they worked together, a Republican and Democrat who always had the best interests of America in their hearts, they would agree to disagree and work toward a solution to the nations problems.

Needless to say, I don’t think Speaker Pelosi is willing to work with President Trump. Let us pray.

President Reagan and Tip O’Neill Worked Together

From Billy Graham: Two conflicting forces cannot exist in one human heart. When doubt reigns, faith cannot abide. Where hatred rules, love is crowded out. Where selfishness rules, there love cannot dwell. People’s hearts, though small, are big enough for Christ to live in, if we will only make room for Him.

President Trump delivered an inspiring State of the Union speech. He painted a beautiful picture of America that we rarely get told by the media. He cited that “Under the last administration, more than 10 million people were added to the food stamp rolls. Under my administration, 7 million Americans have come off food stamps, and 10 million people have been lifted off of welfare. In eight years under the last administration, over 300,000 working-age people dropped out of the workforce. In just three years of my administration, 3.5 million people – working-age people – have joined the workforce.” These statistics are true. The Daily Jot has reported them in years past. But the disrespect by the opposition was awful.
The environment of Congress speaks volumes when a president can cite statistic after statistic about the improvements in the economy, the job outlook for ALL Americans, and a strong affirmation of the American Republic, only to be met with the sour, disgusted looks, actions, and mean-spirited words of his opposition party. The Democratic Party, which has joined with the news media and the deep state intelligence community to overthrow this elected president, is showing not only its disdain for the president, but also for hard-working Americans-the little guys. What true countryman can hear these wonderful accomplishments about our country and behave as if they were the worst thing that could happen? It is, quite frankly, un-American. It is because these people want to “remake” America into a socialist nation.
The President said it in very strong terms, using healthcare as an example: “One hundred thirty-two lawmakers in this room have endorsed legislation to impose a socialist takeover of our healthcare system, wiping out the private health insurance plans of 180 million very happy Americans. To those watching at home tonight, I want you to know: We will never let socialism destroy American healthcare.” Democrats also disagree about the sanctity of life-something guaranteed by the
Declaration of Independence. The President said, “Whether we are Republican, Democrat, or independent, surely we must all agree that every human life is a sacred gift from God.” But no. Not the Democrats in Congress. They stand for an alien belief, something not cut from the fabric of the Founders.
If you needed any more proof that the Democratic Party leadership does not agree with the exceptional American ideal, the robust job creation, the solidification of power to the people through prosperity and a strong middle class, look at the actions of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. She began to rip up the President’s speech as he was saying “God Bless America.” She said she did it because “It was such a dirty speech.” Every American should understand what is going on here. Similar to what Apostle Paul wrote in Titus 1:10-16, “For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers…They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.” Remember this day.

Feeding children and educating against human trafficking in Ghana

By Pastor William Agbeti
Some 250 children from underserved areas outside of Accra, Ghana were served nutritious meals, learned about Christ and were taught about how to recognize and avoid human traffickers.
Human trafficking is a huge underworld business in Ghana and West Africa conducted largely by Muslims. Children are sold out into sex slavery. Many end up as child laborers, who at the end of a strenuous work day, also have to satisfy the sexual cravings of their mentally deranged masters. On the high-income side of the spectrum, some are sent straight to human slaughter houses and their vital organs like the heart and liver, are harvested for sale at secret market places.
We acknowledge the provision of $637 dollars raised by 13-year-old Bronc Hibdon towards the funding, in part, of this maiden program. His action reminds us of the scripture in Psalm 8:2: “Out of the mouth of babies and infants, you have established strength because of your foes, to still the enemy and the avenger.”
While this is a humble beginning, our goal is to further develop the presentation to include resource persons, rescued child traffickers who will give testimonies, and input from the police. NOTE: Over 60 children gave their lives to Christ during the day. Hallelujah! Read what happened next at The Daily Jot.
