What Else Could Go Right?

These are difficult times worldwide.   Every person alive right now is either in crisis, or soon will be, or the threat of growing terror is very near to them. Each nation in the world has heightened heart-rate as the new norm.   All are affected by man’s evil deeds, or natural disasters, which are taking place day by day.

Australia is burning; lives, of both man and beast, are being threatened and lost. These are terrifying days for these precious inhabitants of that great and mysterious land down under.

Father, You Who both sustains and commands all elements of this world and the universe, we stand with the desperate needs of our friends in Australia. We know You can do mighty things in acts of rescue, and we trust that in mercy, You will act against all the wild fires consuming their land. Dear, dear LORD, forgive, heal, and rescue from the limited powers of nature working against them. Let it rain; let it rain!   Precious Jesus, be seen; be glorified; be lifted up in that precious land to the saving of millions of souls. In Your name above all other, Amen!

Beloved, a precious and powerful passage of Scripture is Psalm 66.   Often when in the midst of turmoil and confusion one can be heard to say: “What else could go wrong?”

If we would take a deep breath, take a look around us to see that not everything is moved to the anxiety level we have allowed to grasp our hearts, we would be able to see some good.   It would become a Philippians 4:8 moment. We might be encouraged to say, “What Else Could Go Right!”

Psalm 66:  Praise to God for His Awesome Works

Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth!
Sing out the honor of His name; Make His praise glorious.
Say to God, “How awesome are Your works! Through the greatness of Your power Your enemies shall submit themselves to You.
All the earth shall worship You And sing praises to You;
They shall sing praises to Your name.” Selah

Come and see the works of God; He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men.
He turned the sea into dry land; They went through the river on foot.
There we will rejoice in Him.
He rules by His power forever; His eyes observe the nations;
Do not let the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah

Oh, bless our God, you peoples! And make the voice of His praise to be heard,
Who keeps our soul among the living, And does not allow our feet to be moved.
10 For You, O God, have tested us; You have refined us as silver is refined.
11 You brought us into the net; You laid affliction on our backs.
12 You have caused men to ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water; But You brought us out to rich fulfillment.

13 I will go into Your house with burnt offerings; I will pay You my vows,
14 Which my lips have uttered And my mouth has spoken when I was in trouble.
15 I will offer You burnt sacrifices of fat animals, With the sweet aroma of rams; I will offer bulls with goats. Selah

16 Come and hear, all you who fear God, And I will declare what He has done for my soul.
17 I cried to Him with my mouth, And He was extolled with my tongue.
18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear.
19 But certainly God has heard me; He has attended to the voice of my prayer.

20 Blessed be God, Who has not turned away my prayer, Nor His mercy from me!”

And now, in many locations of our world people are suffering the threats and action of terrorism by the hands of wicked, evil men.   The threats are great, and real, and extremely evil. Terrorist attacks are world-wide. Militaries in many lands are one edge. Many are the American soldiers and support personnel who are deployed to protect us, our freedoms, and the threats against innocent people in foreign lands. The reports of converts to Christianity in Iran are tremendous.   There is not a greater time for Christian intercessors around the world to be on high alert on our knees. Beloved, Pray On!

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.” (2 Corinthians 10:3-6)

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”                (Ephesians 6:10-13)

Almighty God, our Heavenly Father, I speak without permission but from Your Spirit for the Believers of America. Dear LORD, we desperately need to have a deeper understanding of Your perspective on the not-yet-saved people of the world. I respectfully beg for Your Spirit to cause this to be awakened within Your Church here, and now. We need this; Your world demands this. Gracious Holy Spirit within, cause Your Church to be more concerned with the need for genuine repentant revival than with a church calendar filled with religious sounding annual events. Awaken us to the knowledge that tens of millions are yet without Christ; Your Spirit can do this with my gratitude. Thank You for Your grace and mercy to work in this area of our need.

Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, deepen the work of Your Spirit in the American Church to commit to go ever deeper in intercession for the nations of the world as we rapidly move toward the end-time manifestations of Your magnificent glory and power. Simply, humbly, gloriously, I praise Your guiding and listening to these requests.

Gracious Savior, LORD Jesus, though our world is troubled on every side, I want to praise You for the many evidences of Your wondrous workings of salvations given in the midst of the violent and evil workings of man and the devil in the nations.

I am also strongly encouraged by the fresh movements of prayer and fasting in my home-land. This will have a grand effect on the vision of the American church to evangelize those in spiritual darkness. Give to Your people here a fresh understanding of the ever deepening need of prayer/intercession for one another in the church, and also for the known lost persons in our communities, cities, nation and the world. Show us how our prayers engage Your actions in the needy world in which we live.

With all this in mind, as a believer in the One True God, in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ the Son, and by His blood, I request in authority that the intended plans and works of the devil, Satan himself, be hindered by destruction, and may he be too confused by added defeat that he has no workable retaliatory plans to follow. May the way be cleared for mighty works of evangelizing millions of men and women, and girls and boys, and the name of Jesus exalted throughout the world, in His name I pray, Amen!

Church, look around at the awesome works of God; He is always working around you. Can you not say yet, “What Else Could Go Right?”   Pray On!
