Press Release from the Republican Party of New Mexico:

Gov. Lujan Grisham Wrong About President Trump
and Red Flag Laws

Lujan Grisham Conveniently Uses a Previous Trump Comment to Confuse the Public on his Gun Control Position
Joint statement from the Republican Party of New Mexico and “Pro-Gun Women.”

Albuquerque, January 8—Today Governor Lujan Grisham was simply wrong when trying to justify that President Trump supports Red Flag laws. In her press release supporting proposed legislation for such a law, the governor quotes President Trump’s support on August 5, 2019, BEFORE he cooled to the idea. She’s cleverly deceiving people into thinking he is on board, when in fact it is not true.

More than a month later, on September 12, 2019 the president told a House Republican retreat, “Democrats want to confiscate guns from law-abiding Americans. Republicans will always uphold the fundamental right to keep and bear arms.”

It is reprehensible that the governor would deliberately twist the timetable of the president’s comments just to shove this legislation through the Roundhouse.

Governor Lujan Grisham’s tactic is two-fold: to gather more support for red flag legislation by saying “see, even the president is on board and you should be too,” which is flatly incorrect.  Secondly, her comments are aimed to deceive and anger gun rights supporters here in New Mexico, seeking to hurt President Trump’s chances of reelection in our state.

“I have spoken with the people of New Mexico all over this great state, and the vast majority of them do not want a Red Flag bill or any other bills that infringe on their rights. Many have also expressed their frustrations with the Governor’s constant attacks on the Second Amendment and no longer feel represented by the progressives in New Mexico state government,” said Stefani Lord, President and Founder of “Pro-Gun Women.”

Gun rights supporters here in New Mexico are very much AGAINST Red Flag laws.

We support the right to bear arms and believe that right shall not be infringed upon.

Let is all be in prayer for all those in government.

“For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth takes its name. I pray that, according to the riches of God’s glory, God may grant that you may be strengthened in your inner being with power through God’s Spirit, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are being rooted and grounded in love. I pray that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to God who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine, to God be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”

—Ephesians 3:14-21

What do you think? I agree we need to pay our teachers more, we need more state police officers, rural New Mexico needs help, but it seems the far rural areas get forgotten about.  Will spending all this money change the quality of life in New Mexico? Will it change the hearts of patents who beat their children? Will it change the drug dealers? Will it cure people driving drunk? If the Governor has her way, we will have legalized pot! Pot heads driving, killing innocent people. Will it cure all the killings in Albuquerque? Will it stop the killing of God’s babies through abortion? Will it stop all the violence in New Mexico?  Like many of you, over the years I have seen billions spent by the government. Whether it is local, state or federal….I never see much positives. Infrastructure, yes! Boy! Do we need that here in New Mexico! Travel New Mexico, and you will find that to be so true. I am uncomfortable with plans like the Governor is proposing, even the one the Republicans are talking about.

I am a believer that our issues here in New Mexico, in our entire country, the world, is a heart issue. Many are sure going to roll their eyes at my thoughts, I know! Hearts need to be given to Jesus, Biblical principles need to be followed. I do not see many good stewards in government. 1 Corinthians 4:2 teaches us: Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful. Here at FGGAM we take a Biblical Worldview. We have to be right with Jesus to do right. Sounds to simple to an unbelieving world, I know. I do not care what the world thinks of me, I am to share the love and truth of Jesus. I care very much about every soul on earth. The message of Jesus is simple, I believe this is one of the main reasons many in our high tech world do not beleive in Jesus, it seems to simple.

I had an attorney sitting next to me on an airplane a few years ago and she said to me, “So you beleive in all those fairy tales?” She quizzed me like the attorney she is! We had a very good productive discussion.

If it’s true that we have so much knowledge, how can society be so messed up?

Jan 7, 2020

From the writings of the Rev. Billy GrahamQ: I’ve heard that the present generation is filled with more knowledge than at any time in history. If this is true, how can society be so messed up? Is knowledge the same as wisdom? — G.L.A: The eighth chapter of Proverbs is deep and wide because it is the voice of wisdom speaking to our hearts. It is the Lord Jesus Himself gathering up His eternal attributes that call out to us with His understanding, truth, righteousness, knowledge and instruction, prudence and discretion, reverence, counsel, strength, love, riches and honor, justice, rejoicing, blessing, wisdom, and eternal life.

Knowledge is fact-gathering; wisdom is applying knowledge with discernment and good judgment. The Bible says, “The Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding” (Proverbs 2:6).

But the blessing of knowledge becomes a curse when we pervert it. If ever a generation was bequeathed the knowledge of God, it has been the generations of today. Yet we are throwing away the glorious heritage on self-pleasure and satisfying immediate gratification. Our worldly wisdom has made us calloused and hard. Our natural wisdom comes not from God, but is earthly, sensual, and devilish. In spite of the knowledge young people have accumulated, they are more confused, bewildered, frustrated, and without moral moorings. Today an educated, civilized society is turning its face against God, ignoring Him as the Source of all knowledge and wisdom.

The only right place to turn is God’s Word to learn about knowledge and wisdom and how to apply them to life. “According to your word [O Lord], teach me knowledge and good judgment” (Psalm 119:65-66, NIV).

Changes must be made! Violence is out of control in New Mexico! What will it take, more killings?

New Mexico Supreme Court could make changes to pretrial detention rules

FGGAM NEWS just received this news release from:

Matthew Garcia-Sierra

Communications Director

NM House of Representatives

Republican Leadership Office

Santa Fe, NM-  Seven NM House Republican members from across the state sent a letter to Governor Lujan Grisham, the New Mexico State Police (NMSP), the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC), and the Administrative Office of District Attorneys (AODA) requesting an investigation into the failures associated with “Operation Surge” in Albuquerque over the summer.

In late 2019, just before the start of the holiday season, KOAT reported on the outcome of the recent NMSP “Operation Surge” in the Albuquerque Metro Area. The sobering statistics not only reveal how outnumbered local law enforcement is, but also highlights the revolving door for criminals is spinning faster than ever. The crime report, published on a holiday, revealed that while the increase in state police presence yielded hundreds of arrests, many offenders were ultimately released.

Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham ordered NMSP to redirect officers to amplify police presence in the Albuquerque Metro area in the summer of 2019. Costing taxpayers nearly $1 million dollars and diverting 50 officers from their rural NM posts, “Operation Surge” netted 600 arrests over 59 days, according to the KOAT report. Their investigation found that, of the available public court records, 88% of those arrested are no longer in custody, 18% were arrested again after being let out of jail, and 16% were set free and failed to show up to court, becoming wanted fugitives.

“The public deserves an official accounting from the administration, regarding ‘Operation Surge’,” said House Minority Leader Jim Townsend, “resources from across the state were redirected to increase public safety, and if our criminal justice system is rubber stamping release of these criminals we need the agencies involved to explain why. It is essential that we show our citizens that New Mexico is serious about addressing the rampant crime problem and committed to protecting our communities.”

House Republicans call on the Governor, AOC, AODA, and NMSP to provide information on “Operation Surge” and its outcomes. Providing our public safety officers with a more effective criminal justice system will help law enforcement do their job and keep the public safe.
